Replying to: fatwhale (Nov 19, 2008 10:01 am) Thats a great price. I bought an 08 ES with premium package in the bay area this Sep for 38800 OTD. I wish I had waited for the 09.

One thing that really bothered me is that the APR for purchase offered by Lexus Financial is currently 6.xx-6.6 (on a 66-72 month financing). I am planning to go with a 72 month financing. This comes at a time when BMW is offering 0.9%-1.9% APR on many vehicles, and Mercedes is offering 3.9% (36 mos) and 4.9% (for 66 mos), and Acura 2.9% (37-60mos). All of them much much better APR's than Lexus. (I want to buy an ES, but not until those Financial guys at Lexus financial wake up) Even Toyota (owner of lexus) is offering 0% APR on Camrys!!! (I fail to understand why there isnt a single APR promotional offering from Lexus around this time). Some of my friends suggested that deals may come after Thanksgiving (i.e Thanksgiving to Christmas window). In any case, I am waiting a few more weeks. Just doesnt make sense to lock in for 5-6 years without getting a good APR deal. |

They probably can get more business if they offer better rates. All they offer in their specials or the "December to Remember" events are specials on leasing, not buying.
