Replying to: lexusbunny (Nov 10, 2008 6:34 pm) That's an excellent rate. Anything under 5% is very good and even 5% is not bad at all. I have not found anything under 5% for up 72 months and that's at Geico FCU. My target date to purchase is the last week in December. The dealers in ATL are still somewhat high. With the 2008 almost gone, I'm looking at a 2009 (ES wNav), hoping to get close to invoice 37k. |

Hello everyone. I am looking to buy a 2008 ES 350 which MSRP is $42595. I am trying to figure out what would be a good price to pay for this car. I am hoping to buy from Sewell in Fort Worth. I would also like to know if anybody has had problems with their service department.

Hello all, Earlier this week I went in to negotiate on the car listed above in the DFW, Texas area. The best I could get was 39500 out the door. They wouldn't apply the $1000 rebate from lexus since I was paying cash on the car. What are your thoughts on the price? Could I do better? By the way, the internet process with the dealers is a joke. They won't even give you a number to work with unless you come in to the dealer. Thanks everyone for your help.

Replying to: toothdude (Nov 15, 2008 10:38 am) I think it really depends on what you feel like paying. I negoitated mine about $500 above invoice (the nada.com invoice so I am not counting the $515 they usually put in their invoice, otherwise I will be paying just invoice). I feel that it is reasonable to me and I didn't really go another step to negotiate what some said - like $1,500 under invoice. Besides, the color combo I want is not readily available and they have to order it for me through another region (takes 30 to 60 days). I am not paying for any freight either. So I feel I can live with that price and so I went for it. Hope this helps.
