Replying to: jano2 (Oct 31, 2008 6:02 pm) I asked for $37,500 (including tint and pin stripe) + TTL. The invoice for the car is $36,610 (not counting some $515 which all dealers add to when they give me their invoice). With the tint and pin stripe work being ~ $400, I guess I am paying about $500 over invoice now, or just the "dealer invoice" if you count he $515. They have to order the car for me because the color combination I want is not readily available in most regions. I guess if I am more flexible on the color, I might be able to get a better deal. But I figure if I pay this much for a car and keep for a while, might as well get what I want exactly. I know I am probably paying more than a lot of people pay but I am quite done with all the negotiating and talking and being called rediculous when I suggested anything close or under invoice. I am planning to pay the deposit to have the car ordered. Thanks for all your help! BTW this is by far the lowest offer I get and this is from Park Place in Dallas. I live in Houston so I will not be able to take advantage of the 4 free oil change that come with it which really, cost about $240 + tax over 1.5 year. |

First thanks to Nightowl and others for sharing some helpful info here. We bought a 2008 ES350 today, premium+wood wheel+bluetooth+ ..., no navi, MSRP $37,520, Invoice $33,168, we paid $32 grands + TTL. We are very happy with the deal, expecially we got our favor color combination (dark blue/tan, quite hard to find in 2008s). How do you think? We are in the Bay Area and bought from Magnessen Lexus.

Did you get a chance to check out the 09's? I haven't got on this forum lately...just wondering how much the 09's are selling for in the Bay Area. Its been a couple of months since I bought the ES 08 and I love my car Happy driving!

Replying to: weniki (Nov 01, 2008 9:10 am) Meanwhile I got another call from Sewell Dallas this morning after agreeing on the deal with Park Place. The sales said he doesn't undserstand how Park Place can be selling me the car at that price because they will be losing money, and he reasure that there is no way the dealer is paying below invoice. I am just happy that the I don't have to deal with this anymore... Good luck everyone else! I am done!!!
