I just got back from a test drive of a Veracruz. Really nice! My question is that I can't find any info on the corporate web site that explains the 4 wheel drive system. To add to my confusion, there is a button on the dash above your left knee that locks the 4 wheel drive system. I don't know if it is AWD all the time and when you push the button to lock, that it changes to true 4 wheel drive or if it is two wheel drive until you push the button, etc, etc. If some one could point me to a link that would be great. My salesman was so new he really wasn't much help. Thanks in advance. Jack |

Q: is adding aftermarket xenon kit for headlights on new Veracruz a recipe for trouble/voiding a warranty?? Thanks. |

| Best source of information is your dealer. | |

has anyone experienced a clunking noise when your veracruz downshifts between 20mph and 0mph. i noticed this more when it's cold ,but i don't think it should do it. i'll take it to the dealer when i get time. it's a 2007 v6 veracruz thanks Randy

| Just got back from a trip in this first snowstorm to hit the midwest this year. There's about 5 inches out, blowing and now ice and freezing rain. This thing (07 GLS AWD) handles phenomenally in the snow. The combination of AWD, ECS and Traction control make this one of the best handling snow vehicles I've ever driven. Wow, am I ever glad I bought this vehicle. | |

Replying to: rottencar (Nov 13, 2007 8:33 pm) Just curious.... I have had my VC for four months and think the quality and engineering is great. I have had no problems whatsoever. Coming from a Lexus RX 300 and also having a Toyota 4Runner, I have a frame of reference and a basis for my opinion. Both are great cars, and not perfect. I would say that my VC stacks up very nicely to my RX 300 and then some even with the 350 at about $9K less. Have you heard about the oil foaming/sludge problem on Toyota and Lexus engines? THAT to me is far more serious risk/defect than a downshifting thump or a keyless entry that activates in your pocket. They had to extend the warranty on the engines due to that very problem. http://www.consumeraffairs.com/automotive/lexus.html Even the "big boys" have their problems....and, nothing is perfect. |
