Does the dual zone in VC Limited or any other SUV sold in US include ability to restrict AC flow to feet of front passenger while keeping AC flow on face/chest of driver or vice versa? My wife has no tears in left eye secondary to 9 hour brain surgery five years ago to save her life. Result: she avoids breezes/air flow onto her face in car, because it causes pain in her eye and can introduce airborne dirt/specks onto eyeball surface which everyone else reading this message can wash off with an application of tears and a blink of an eyelid have searched for answer and even asked salesperson last Wed in Nashville and have no definitive answer........ Replying to: patrician01 (Nov 24, 2007 4:34 pm) The Dual-Zone functionality in the Veracruz Limited has a 'Mode" button which selects where the airflow is directed, such as feet only, face and feet, feet and defrost, defrost only, etc. This "Mode" selection is SHARED by the driver and the front seat passenger. However, the upper level air ducts (2 each for the driver and front passenger) can each be independently turned on or off at will. This would permit you to select face and feet and still permit your wife to shut off the face level ducts on her side. Each person would still have independent temperature control for their side. This functionality is also available for the second row passengers who have a shared (but separate from the front) temperature control, but passengers there can also independently turn on or off their face level vents on each side.

I just got back from a test drive of a Veracruz. Really nice! My question is that I can't find any info on the corporate web site that explains the 4 wheel drive system. To add to my confusion, there is a button on the dash above your left knee that locks the 4 wheel drive system. I don't know if it is AWD all the time and when you push the button to lock, that it changes to true 4 wheel drive or if it is two wheel drive until you push the button, etc, etc. If some one could point me to a link that would be great. My salesman was so new he really wasn't much help. Thanks in advance. Jack |

| Just got back from a trip in this first snowstorm to hit the midwest this year. There's about 5 inches out, blowing and now ice and freezing rain. This thing (07 GLS AWD) handles phenomenally in the snow. The combination of AWD, ECS and Traction control make this one of the best handling snow vehicles I've ever driven. Wow, am I ever glad I bought this vehicle. | |
