#943 of 952 Whistle noise from side mirrors
Oct 26, 2009 (8:10 pm)
Am I the only one, or has anyone else noticed this. As soon as I get over 80 KM/hour (45 MPH) there is a whistle coming from air rushing between the door frame and both side mirrors. Even with the windows closed I can hear it.

I haven't heard any wind noise even 90 MPH in my 08. I suggest you have the door seals looked at or replaced. I had to have the rear drivers door seal replaced as it fell off one day and I could never get it to stay in place, it was stretched when they put it on, so it didn't sit right. The new one fits perfectly.
#945 of 952 looking for a 2010 veracruz

i am looking for a 2010 veracruz, dealers here in nm say you cannot order direct for the exact color/items you may want in the car. is this right???

I probably say that's correct. You typically cannot "order" a car made overseas. They should be able to do a search though and see if they can find one at another dealer or in the port.
If they find one at another dealer though, expect to pay something to get it to them.

I'm in the same boat..I'm in the market for a base LTD AWD in Stone White with Saddle interior..Some dealers say this color combo is no longer in production..Others say they can order it,,still others say it cannot be ordered..Confusing to say the least..I think that the dealers that say it can be ordered just want to seal a deal and then wait for one to arrive in the US somewhere...Bottom line is... wait for a dealer to get one in stock and then talk price...Any comments or advice??
#949 of 952 Have they stopped production on the 2010 Veracruz?
May 08, 2010 (2:15 am)
Does anyone know if production has stopped on the 2010 Veracruz? I'm in Southern California, and it seems the supply to this area has dried up. Most dealers have only two (one GLS and one Limited) in stock. I've been searching Edmund's inventory and have seen no additions in this area since the beginning of April.

Having the same issues with my 2008 Veracruz AWD that I purchased in Aug 2010. Noticable shaking, especially over 60 mph. Taking it back to the dealer next week. Researching the issue.

Most likely its the tires. The low profile tires are susceptible to vibrations at certain speeds if they are not cared for properly, or hit one too many pot holes. The tires on mine shake when cold, but smooth out once they warm up a bit.
#952 of 952 XM NOT READY
Dec 11, 2013 (6:56 am)
Have a 2008 Veracruz with the XM radio. Tried to use the XM and received a quick message, "XM NOT READY". Did some research and found that the radio needed to be reset to correct this issue.
To perform the reset, access the front fuse box and locate the fuse for the "audio". This 15 amp fuse sits along side another 15 amp fuse (maybe for lighting) inside a yellow bracket. This fuse/bracket is located on the lower left side of the fuse box.
Pull the fuses and bracket together out of the slots. They should retract and stop. It didn't completely pull away from the fuse box. It seems that it was designed this way for this purpose.
Wait about 30 seconds and replace the bracket holding the fuses. The XM radio worked fine after that. Good luck.
