sam818 What is the reasonable # to pay over invoice on base and premium models? Also Do they (Audi) have holdback on their Vehicles? |

Here is something Audi does not tell you or apparently the dealers on this relatively new vehicle......unless you order the infotainment system (NAV) or Bluetooth, you wind up with a terrible armrest with two large cup holders. Esentially it is just a cup holder and the "arm resting" feature is an after-thought. It is cheesy looking in a $52,000 vehicle and your arm actualy sits in hard holes of the cupholders. Also, it impeads the use of the MMI system if a drink is in either cup holder. Didn't Audi design the MMI for to make things easier? No one will tell you this and neither Audi nor the dealer will replace the armrest (cheesy cupholder)afterthefact unless you pay approx $800.00. If you don't get NAV, make sure the dealer includes the better armrest or you will be rather unhappy. Believe me. |

I am preparing to buy a 4.2 Q7. Coming off of a lease on a 2004 BMW 530i, I am very impressed by the handling of the Audi. I'm 6'4'' and the Q7 fits me much better than the 530. I do have one concern and that is a front end vibration at 74-75 mph. I experienced this on both the demo I drove and the vehicle I intend to buy. Both have 19" wheels. The dealer claims it was an air pressure problem and that it has been fixed. I will drive the Q7 againg tomorrow before I buy to make sure this is legit. I find it incredible that both Q7s that I drove did the same thing. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Replying to: two50man (Dec 04, 2006 8:39 pm) I have had three Q7's, and third times a charm. My first Q7 had a slight vibration at 50-55 but smoothed out above that, but I did consider that this might be an alignment problem. The second has a slight shudder, not as pronounced as the first and it was difficult to determine if this was just a product of an uneven road or what. My latest and greatest Q7 has no shudder, vibration, nothing, just smooth acceleration and sailing all the way up to 110. And it's amazing how quick it gets there and how solid it feels. Definitely had the autobahn in mind when they built this SUV.
