White/Beige for 2009 MY Fit?

Like some of you here, my color choice is a bit on the practical side, as I look for an exterior color that seems to improve safety and an interior color that's cooler in the hot California climate. Considered orange and red exterior colors, but they absorb too much heat for my liking. So white seems to be my best choice, and a recent study indicates that white has less tickets/accidents and high visibility. Unfortunately white/beige is not offered in 2008 Fit, and there's no leftover 2007 Fit. Does anybody know if white ext./beige int. will be offered for model year 2009 Fit? Thanks.

I chose silver storm and we are very happy with it. We think it looks very classy, and we got the nose bra, which is black so it is very attractive on the silver car. We thought that that a black car would always look dirty/dusty. Also, we got seat covers, which look great and you can pick out your favorite color for them.

The Japanese version of the new 2009 has a really nice pink/lavender color option. It's light, metalic and very pretty. I agree it's too feminine for a guy but I really love this idea - so that my boyfriend won't dare to drive it - he always break things, then he always deny any wrong doings, just like a school boy (and he's over 50!). By getting a pink/lavender I can be sure that he won't mess up my car again and also I can easily spot it in a busy parking lot since I don't think there are many lavender cars out there. I always forget where I park after I get out of the store. However, I don't think Honda dare to bring that color to the US. They are selling what I consider "granny colors" here - so conservative!

I'm 55 and got a new Fit 2 months ago. I got the Sport so I could have cruise control, so ended up with the other goodies the Sport comes with like the nice wheels, etc. Anyway, as far as the color goes, I got the red, and it looks fabulous! My primary thought was that since the car is small I want to be more visible to other drivers, particularly to those with massive SUV's. I'm used to thinking this way because my wife and I bicycle a lot and wear bright clothing...it makes a huge difference in drivers being able to see you.

Hi! My Honda Fit is Blackberry Pearl and I was very afraid!!1 I knew that I wanted a Honda Fit Manual Transmission and that was harder to get. The dealer had to have someone drive it from Connecticut to Cape Cod for me to get it. Before the drive and sale they asked me about colors. I immediatly turned down orange and vivid blue, too bright for me.!! Then they called with Blackberry Pearl and I said yes. I was praying that it would not be "Barney" purple and it was not. It is a deep color with "Pearl" speckles. Glitter really, but very low key. Actually I have grown to love it!!! Originally I wanted Grey or black or anything low key. The color I got is still very low key, not loud, almost like a midnight blue but purple. Icch!!! I hate purple but love this color. It is lowkey! Dont be afraid!!!

I wish the 2007 had come in that Blackberry Pearl color - I saw it at a dealer much after the fact. Mine is the Silver, and it's nice, but I love the "purple".

I have 2 08 Fit Sports, and just ordered my 3rd. My 21 yr old son drives the Blaze Orange and this is a great color for a young driver. I am 52 and drive the Milano Red, which I also love and feel it is highly safe and visibile. My wife, same age, will be getting the Vivid Blue - she originally chose Storm Silver, but decided that is kind of a "grandma car" look. Of the 7 colors offered in 2008, Honda could have skipped the Tidewater Blue and offered some shade of green, and the Blackberry Pearl (purple) is so dark it looks close to black - maybe white would have been better. Also, with only one interior color choice of black, that's actually no choice at all. Many people living in warm/hot cimates would probably rather have a light colored interior.

wow, the lavender color is gorgious! why can't they export beautifully colored cars like this into the US? Somehow the only colors I see on the road here are red, white, black, gray, silver and tan. ok maybe some hunter green and navy blue. But seriuosly, we are the art and fashion capital of the world and yet our cars remind me of Chinese people wearing Mao suits during the Cultural Revolution.

In the early 90's there were some funky colors available (Isuzu Amigo, Ford Probe, etc)... but nowadays, with the exception of metallic copper, car companies have been pushing every shade of grey.
Volvo has a few nice colors on the C30 and S40... kiwi green, chameleon blue.
There's a nice metallic aqua blue for the Chevy Equinox.
The Element has some nice bold colors.
But I'm with you... you look at a Civic and it's like... the shape is so modern, how come the colors are so conservative....
Actually, the US is not really the art and fashion capitol of the world... just look at all the people going to Walmart in jeans and back to their beige vinyl sided cookie cutter homes.
If you want a lavender car... just buy the car you want and have it painted. Less chance it will get stolen!
