Now that you've had your white/beige Fit for a while, I'm curious to know if you've had problems keeping the interior clean looking? I've only seen pictures of the beige interior, but it looks so pale I worry it would show dirt immediately, and with two young children that's a major concern for me. The flip side is that we live in a very warm climate and I worry a black interior would simply get too hot. How has yours been?

Those were my sentiments exactly. I had to buy a car in a hurry because my Prius was totaled in an accident and I couldn't wait for another. The Honda dealer just happened to have the orange. I rejected it on Friday, went home and thought about it, tried to find another Fit in another color and decided on Saturday I could live with it. I called the dealer and someone else was on their way to get it so I placed a deposit on it over the phone and hustled to get it. I am surprised and delighted to find that it has grown on me. I can find it easily in a parking lot and seem to feel better about it if I think of it as "copper". I know, sounds crazy, but I'm working with it. I have had it now for about 10 days and have a very high pitched noise that seems to be coming from the battery, not the engine. Will have it looked into soon. Otherwise, its a nice, practical car.

As an o6 ex civc owner, i can assert that the beinge interior will become noticeably dirty over time. I love nighthawk black, but unfortunately it does not have a dark interior, not even a gray one. Although i agree that age does not have anything to do with what your color choices are, the fit is a car that has been heavily embraced by many in europe and japan as a car that is very easily tuned to be a serious performance car. I don't think honda did anything but cater to the appropriate audience. If you want a nice car without the side skirty and 'stupid air dams' get a civc lx. Msrp is not that much more and it is a very nice car and you can get a nice exterior color paired to a light interior. I think the fit looks awesome with a dark interior.

In Europe the car has been much more embraced as a family car than anything else. There are many car choices in Europe that are easier to tune and much cheaper than the Jazz.

I personally don't like the marketing campaign (and I am in the target age!). I am glad they have the base model, but I wish they offered an EX model that had the upgrades of the Sport, but without the exterior modifications. Maybe instead of the sport alloys, include the more "luxurious" looking alloys from the current European Jazz ES. I think the sport trim (rocker panel extensions, spoiler, bumper extensions) should just be a dealer-installed accessory.

Metallic Black Amethyst by aladdinsane

I believe that Honda should add a dramatic color to the Sport Fit's pallete:

Metallic Black Amethyst. . .

It would need washing more often, but when the sun strikes it the color would be quite an eyeful! Fascinating and classy, IMHO.

Peace!

That would be nice.

Personally, i wish the FIT in NA was sold in the red pearl colour it comes in in Japan - might be fun to have a pink car!

I definitely agree!!!

The color you describe sounds freaky, and I mean that in a positive sense.

Honda/USA should stop being so conservative and try something different, perhaps offering the Fit Sport in colors, like those we've talked about here, as extra cost in its options list. Of course I'm probably dreaming, but the same old colors like silver, and some of the others are soooooooooooo tired. Played out. Know what I'm sayin'?

Peace!

BTW: I C you have a Sport. I hope you're digging it. I'm sure you are. What color have you? If my Lady and I decide for the Sport model we'll probably go with Nighthawk Black Pearl. (Dramatic.) I'll have a power sunroof installed, aftermarket, too.

ADios for now!!!

"perhaps offering the Fit Sport in colors..."
How about the base model too?

I personally would really like to see the Premium Yellow from Japan offered as a choice. With the way they took the US marketing campaign for this car, I would have expected some "wilder" colors than just orange.

When I saw the name "Blaze Orange Metallic", I was thinking something along the lines of "Department of Transportation" orange (think construction sign), or "Don't Shoot Me" hunter's orange, in a metallic blend. I wouldn't even call the orange wild ... it's almost peachy in color! I think a more appropriate name is "Orange Dreamsicle."

Well, what I meant is that it is somewhat more wild than the other color choices...I won't deny that if I wasn't already looking for other Fits on the road, the Blaze Orange would turn my head quicker than most of the other colors.
Hey, at least the US wasn't given Mexico's color choices...white, red, and 3 shades of silver.
