Y'know, its weird, but after seeing yet another color of Fit in person (this time Storm Silver), my tune has totally changed on what colors I like a car to be. This car, anyway. Seeing the Storm Silver in person, it seemed a bit dull, drab, whatever. Maybe it was because the car was a bit dusty, and it was an overcast day. Perhaps a clean SS Fit, sitting there gleaming in bright sunlight would've looked very different. But seeing the Storm Silver on the day I did, it just seemed like it was too understated, and didn't really 'fit' the personality of the car. Before I was dismissive of colors like Blaze Orange, Vivid Blue, Milano Red... now I'm starting to think they're the best colors for a car like the Fit. I've seen Vivid Blue in person, and its definitely the best of the 3 Fit colors I've seen on the car lots (the other two being Lunar Mist (blech) and Storm Silver). Black is the only 'grown-up' color still in the running. This is ironic to me, a middle-aged guy who usually knows what he wants. Of course, this is all getting ahead of myself... due to certain missing ergonomic features on the Fit (no dead pedal, no center armrest, no seat height adjustment), I'll be waiting awhile to see if Honda does a refresh of the Fit that addresses those issues. But, when I finally do get my Fit (if I do), its probably going to be one of those LOUD colors I formerly hated.

I own a Storm Silver Sport Fit AT and on a cloudy day it looks dark gray and on a sunny day it looks bright silver. I guess that’s why they call it “Storm Silver”? boatfloyd |

After driving the bright green del sol for seven years, I decided on the Storm Silver Fit. I dated a pastor a few years ago who was very concerned about his congregation members watching what was parked in his driveway (and when). So now I've got a silver car. I like it. I figured of all the options it would show the least dirt, but I agree that it's a little boring compared to some of the other options. If the Fit had come in "del sol" green, though, I would have snatched it right up. |

We preferred white. We bought white. I think I remember reading somewhere that white cars get the fewest tickets. I've mostly had white cars all my life. My lifetime average driving speed is probably speed limit + 10 mph. I haven't gotten a speeding ticket since 1982. (KNOCK ON WOOD!) And remember, white is all colors so our car is red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. How can that be boring?

I forgot to add, our car has the beige interior, so some will think the car is boring and nauseating. We like it.
