I've seen threads on here and GreenHybrid with a lot of facts about oil filters. Not really so sure that the "Toyota" oil filter is of all that much importance. There are probably some great ones out there that a person should buy and use exclusively. However I'm not one to worry about my filter and "regular" oil as long as I'm doing 5000 mile changes and not running my car hard.

Regarding warranty, I just purchased a platinum 7 yr 75000 mile warranty zero deductable for 520 dollars. It is a Toyota warranty from Midwest Super store in Ks. 1-800- 530-5789. Delt with Keith Zwickl, no hassle or problems. Honored at any toyota dealer in the US.

Cancelling current warranty by wareshouse

Wondered if anyone has cancelled their extended warranty within the 30 days and tried to buy another one? I paid way too much at the dealer and now want to swap it out for one of the deals mentioned here. Somehow I missed this site before I bought my car.

My concern is if Toyota will see that you cancelled the warranty and won't let you then turned around and buy it again a month later.

Hi,

I was wondering if you've had luck purchasing another extended warranty. I'm in the same position. I purchased my car and paid out the nose for the extended warranty from the dealer. A few days later, I canceled the warranty in hope of buying one from somewhere else cheaper.

Have you been successful in doing this by chance?

Thanks!
Heath

I bought a platinum 7/75 yesterday from Midwest Auto Sales, Hutchinson, KS, 800 530 5789 on my TCH but the price was 645 not 520. Midwest said the difference was the hybrid model.
my local dealer wanted 1650. Midwest said I would get official papers from Toyota direct 2 or 3 weeks in the meantime they would mail me a receipt from the charge on my credit card. The folks at Midwest were very helpful

Toyota Warranty Insurers by stryker2

I'm purchasing a TCH in the Southeast and have been offered an extended warranty from Fidelity Warantee Services.

Is the warranty offered via dealerships in other areas of the US from a different Toyota-affiliated insurer?

Thanks for your help!

There is one Toyota based warranty and many other companies out there being pushed by various dealers.

Hi,

Would you post the result of your extended warranty purchase please?

Is it from Totyta and any issue with it.

Thanks

I don't know for sure it is rock bottom but the price is fair. My local dealer wanted $1600 MIDWEST TOYOTA SALES sold me 7/75 no deduct for $645. They put it on my credit card and then in about 3 weeks I got the warranty from Toyota Financial Services. MIdwest PH 800 530 5789 in Hutchinson, KS Other Phone 620 662 6631. I was needless to say very pleased with Midwest.
