ummm....you might want to try turning on your brights. I find this works pretty well.

Using high beam only is possible only is rural or isolated areas without traffic.

Failure to dim high beams to oncoming traffic is not only dangerous and discourteous, it is illegal.

Some quirks so far.... by kagedude

1. When I open the hood and lock in the rod, the plastic piece at the end of the rod is angled the wrong way which gives me a hard time taking it out. I would have to force and twist the end piece for it to come off. Anyone have this problem too?

2. I'm not sure if its the all-season mats that I just got but after last night's rain and when I opened the car this morning, the car's interior smelled very damp. Checked the mats and surrounding carpert area and its dry.

3. The cargo cover has about a 3 inch gap between it and the back seats. The accesory pics shows no gap. Does the back seat recline btw?

4. After breaking the car in (1200+ miles), the car "feels" a little sluggish, the 5spd seems to be a bit clicky and I keep grinding 4th gear (twice already in 3 days) and the engine seems to be a little louder.

Hopefully, its just me getting used to the car.

Yes, the back seats recline a bit. That could account for the gap.

Oh joy. I ran out and tested and it does recline. Sorry, haven't read the manual yet. Thanks!

My shifter seems a little clickier, too. I'm at about 2000 miles. I figured I would mention it the first time I got the oil changed. However, my oil minder still says 80% so that could be a while! I'm just trying to pay attention to whether it's getting worse or not.

I've noticed the same thing regarding the shifter, but I was assuming it was just the design. I've gotten used to the notchy feeling though, so its not really an issue for me.
The one issue that I will bring up at oil change is a light clicking (more like a light clacking) sound I hear from the engine. It occurs only at a very specific time: when I am starting out in first gear and I let the clutch out while moderatly accelerating. Never hear it again after that...until I have to start off from a full stop.
The car runs perfectly fine, but it's just the odd sound. Maybe I'm just paranoid?
Anyone with the 5MT notice this too?

I have almost 1,000 miles. I have no problems with the MT shifter. It shifts like a manual. Smooth and easy. I hear nothing from the engine except the sewing machine sound of the 1500 CC engine!

Yeah, my engine is perfectly quiet and smooth (apart from that little noise I mentioned...which you really have to listen for). In fact, a few times I thought I stalled the car because it's so smooth at idle.
