Just checked out my Wife's Jazz and it does have a driver's-seat height adjuster.......may explain why we pay so much more for ours than you do for yours, (not). The remote gas flap release I really don't care about - I have to go there to fuel the car anyway so a remote release gives me nothing. However, on the UK-spec car the fuel filler is on the "wrong" side, of course. Now that does niggle me and is strange considering this is a Japanese design and they drive on the correct side of the road.

I personally like the paddle shifters; just a big kid at heart. My Wife simply sticks the auto-box in Drive and let's it get on with it.

So, like any car it has its compromises but the pro's far far outweigh the con's, particularly in the area of seating/loadspace flexibility. It really is one heck of a package and I know at least one lady who wouldn't swap hers for any other car - well maybe a RR Phantom + chauffeur - and even then she'd probably want the Jazz in the boot, (trunk), as a local runaround.

We each have our own wants/needs in cars and that's what makes the topic so interesting. I can't have a Jaguar X-type diesel or Ford Mondeo diesel with an auto-box, likewise a Honda Accord diesel. Why not ? Puts them off my list whilst keeping Audi A3/A4/A5/A6 and Jaguar S-type diesels firmly on the list. It's a strange old world.

Hey bobw3
I read in an earlier thread that your first oil change and rotation was $50. I'm in Dayton as well and was wondering where you got it done at. I bought mine at Castrucci and was going to get it done there unless another dealer was cheaper.

fuel door/locking gas cap.
I would like to see a test and have someone try to siphon fuel out of a fit.
I think it would be next to impossable, the fuel filler neck is about 6 ft long till you reach the tank, remember you are sitting on the fuel tank.its not right below the fuel door like you would expect. I think my biggest worry would be from ex-girlfriends pooring sugar down the filler neck.

Not sure Honda has any options that make ex-girlfriends into "best friends". However, even though the actual filler cap doesn't lock, the filler cap "flap" is locked as part of the central locking - isn't it ? It certainly is on European Jazz's.

Apparently not.

I don't miss a lockable filler cap on either my 2005 Freestyle or Fit. I'm not the least concerned about someone stealing my gas, and it's one less thing to break in the future and one less thing to forget about at the gas station!

Why not just a locking gas door (not cap) like in all other Hondas, and almost all other Japanese cars in the free world? That won't break unless you did it on purpose, and no chance of leaving it behind at gas stations! It's just a short-sighted move by Honda to cheap out on this feature on the Fit.

I was actually talking about door and not cap that I don't have on either cars, nor do I miss.
