Although they are both on the Theta platform, keep in mind it is difficult to compare the reliability with Equinox as the engine ,Tranny and suspension are completely different, the equinox will be getting the 3.6L later on in '07, but is now using GM's 3.4, the suspension is set up alot stronger on the suzuki as it will be carrying 7 people.
But, you'll find the Equinox to be very "average" as far as quality goes..................

XL7 is very roomy, and the new 3.6L V6 gets peak torque at only 2300 RPM -- awesome. All for $23,000 for a base model. Definitely a good buy, maybe the best buy out there.

Just bought the 2007 XL7 Limited Platinum Series by mm9351

Picked up my platinum packaged limited XL7 yesterday and needless to say I'm loving it. It replaced an 04 EX XL7. First impressions: PLUSH compared to the 04; comfy seats, smooth, quiet and controlled ride, navigation system is awesome (has the 3-D view) and the audio system is simply outstanding. XM Radio is standard along with the mp3 input, rear heat & AC controls, and what's this? A desk / writing surface on the back of the passenger seat for your laptop? Wow, Suzuki thought of everything. I don't think you can find another vehicle in this class for this price. The deal breaker? The chrome wheels peg the 'wow' meter, and believe me this car is a head-turner. Suzuki has out-done themselves; this car is a winner. Let me know if there's anything I left out.

Has anyone heard what the Canadian price range will be??
 looks great!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck finding a dealer! Aside from Toronto, Brantford and a few other places, there aren't many Suzuki dealers around.

Driving a XL7 (Limited Platinum package) for two days, the whole family like it.

Our local dealer sold most of their XL7s, and we will get their last Limited with DVD. They have no hassle price ($22,000 for base 7-passenger, $25,2xx for Limited, $27,xxx for Limited Platinum package), plus Suzuki's great financing program. What else can we expected?

XL7 performed very well.

I was sitting on the back seat for about 3 hours, playing the rear AC, watching DVD... The leg room is excellent, and the it is roomy for 2 people.

Could you please provide the details of your local dealer's contact information? Probably, I would like to buy a XL7-2007 from your area. Also, you could send the information to skyu101yahoo.com. Many Thanks. Happy New Year!

I am located in North Alabama. Our local Suzuki dealer claims they are nation's #1 Suzuki dealer. Nation's top 4 or 5 salesmen are all in this dealership. They started from a small dealer selling used car on internet. Now, besides the original used car, they have 5 locations selling Suzuki in surrounding area and they just bought a Hyundai dealer (another cheap brand ) and a Toyota dealer.

They have sold most of their XL7 for now, and seems they raised the price a little (not sure).

They have fixed price on all Suzuki, and the sales people are salaried (not commission) employees. But they still have refer program. So if you like, I can refer you and we can split the refer fee. My email address is guxu(a)yahoo.com. Thanks and Happy New Year!
