He sold me one for $34, and it works great! The back of the dash is just one big space. I can route the cable from the back of the radio through the back of the glove compartment and into the glove compartment. I can shut the glove compartment on the cable when I have my iPod out. Otherwise I hide the iPod there when not in use. No cables visible anywhere that way.

It was a little tricky getting it plugged into the back of the radio. You have to be very gentle with the plastic molding when removing it or else you'll break something.

My check engine light just came on the other day. The car is running great and I only have 4400 miles on it. Just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem.

#727 of 734 Why the Suzuki SX 4? by romancegirl

On July 17th I traded my 2003 Suzuki Aerio in for a new bright red, stick shift, Suzuki SX 4. I have owned them all - Olds, Ford, Honda <--horrible car, Pontiac, AMC, Chevy. Hands down - the Suzuki will be the only car company for me. In 4 years I put a new battery in my Aerio and that's it! I bought that car used and Suzuki still repaired the hatch and brakes for me FREE of charge. Suzuki stands behind every car they make. No other car company I have ever encountered has ever stood behind their product like Suzuki did. When I went car shopping, the Suzuki dealer was my first stop. I knew I wanted another one. The Sx 4 is great! Major fun to drive and has more features than I expected. The keyless entry is wonderful. I tell everyone - once you own a Suzuki you won't want any other car. All the American car companies make cookie cutter cars - all the same! Suzuki is an original. I love my SX 4.

what was it about your Honda that you hated so much? I mean, Honda's are praised by so many and to me they are the dullest, plainest looking cars around. They look like they were designed by their kids on their etch-a-sketches. I won't buy a car that looks like an appliance and Honda fits that mold to a tee.

I agree, Suzuki's SX4 is a great looking car. I think that Suzuki is a fine choice because they are all about making great small cars. What was it about your Honda though?

I had a little under 1,000 miles when mine first came on... they told me that it could be where the gas lid needs to be tighter, but i knew it wasnt that so i changed gas stations because of water in the gas... its came on 3 times since. this past week it came on right as i was pulling out of the car lot, and they hooked it up and the machine read error with the oxygen sensor. It hasn't came on again... I'm going to have some sensors changed if it keeps happening. almost 20,000 miles on my baby lol

Suzuki has issued a TSB for early models regarding the Check Engine Light coming on. Mine has done it twice, and both times the code had to do with "Control Module Performance." This last time, I took it in and they reprogrammed the engine control unit. I haven't had the problem since.

My tire light will not go off even with correct air pressure non punctured tires. My check engine light goes on and off and nothing wrong! Is this a mileage trick to get me to the dealer. The dealers suck and rip me off.

Did you check the spare (assuming the spare in your SX4 has a monitor)?

#734 of 734 How can I disable the safety belt alerts? by gemini6toad

Aug 04, 2010 (7:04 pm)

I drive a 2007 SX4 and want to disable the audible safety belt alarms that go off when the key is in the ignition and the and the safety belt is not buckled - same for the passenger side. I checked the manual, but it did not list the specific fuse that connects to the alarms.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can disable these alarms?
