2010 Santa Fe by shivelyt

Has anyone seen anything of the 2010 models. Local dealership says no sign and they are nearly out of 09s. I had understood that manufacturing would start by early summer with the 09 production being cut short and that significant changes in design would appear on the 2010's. Anyone have a clue.?

Yes, everything except my trade in value and down payment. That was the OTD price. It's a small dealership in Fayetteville, North Carolina. They have a dozen or more Limiteds and I think they are eager to clear them off. I was just as eager to get one

Was that for a 2WD or All Wheel Drive?

For a 2WD. I think the MSRP was in the low 30's.

Ree, one last question.Did your LTD come with sunroof?mWell my daughter is in her SE with Prem # $ and Bluetooth OTD for 25,500.The only real diff i see with the 2 is the LTD is the leather. I still cant help but think i could have done better, but as we say in these parts, it's all good. But since her mother is listed as the primary owner, i'm sure glad that i wont have to be around for the arguements when her mother wants to drive her car. I fear my daughter will be moving back in with me soon. LOL One other thing, they tried their damnest denie the 1.49 gas. I actually rose from my seat and caused a commotion. My guess is that since it comes from Hyuandai central that there is a way for them to make money off this if it is not included in sale.

Yes, the LTD has leather and sunroof. It has a few other features that the SE doesn't, like the 6 CD players and 10 speaker Infinity sound system. It's loaded with nice features, but no BlueTooth

I wanted the SE Premium, but most dealerships around here are low of supply with the SE's. So I got the LTD for the essentially the same price as an SE

Santa Fe SE AWD by air2karl

Finally made the purchase today, long long story: started to look at dealer prices at the end of July, worst time ever with C4C started, everybody jacked up their prices, even the ones previously mentioned by others as straightforward and honest dealers(fitzmall, Alexandria, etc). fitzmall went from almost 5000 dollars off MSRP to 3000 off then 2000 off then 500 off. Alexandria Hyundai initially quoted the AWD SE I want at $24939 OTD with 8.25% NY tax, the car was sold before I can take it and then they raised the price so much that the quote of a FWD SE with same options as the AWD SE is more than $25000, once again, demand and supply kicked in and even the nicest shark would jump on you when they get a chance.

Anyway, I decided to wait until the frenzy of C4C finish. Last Friday found the car I want at Suresky Hyundai and asked for a quote, get $25350 OTD, which is a fair price to start with. My buddy helped with a little bit of negotiation and get OTD $25014.35. Did all the negotiation with email and phone calls, drove down there today, one hour and 15 minutes in the dealership, test drove the car, read the fine prints, got the finance down, sign the paper and took the car, it was a pretty nice process, both the sales person and the finance manager were very professional and not pushy at all, highly recommend it to anyone central, south NY, north NJ and CT. Here is final break down:

MSRP: $27935(pearl white, beige, floor mats, cargo net, cargo trail, mudguard)
Sale Price: $22793.35(after $2000 rebate)
tax: $1983.52
tl: standard, around $170
OTD: $25014
plus $1.49 gallon gas for full year

the sale price is only slightly more than the best price I saw people on this forum got. It was not easy to live in upstate NY for a month without a car, but my waiting saves me $1200 on the price of the car and wins me the cheap gas. Suresky's price is very competitive. I used to look at fitzmall and Alexandria only, but now they are lacking behind. Glad not to travel to MD to buy my car.

Drove back 120 miles, very smooth transmission, nice layout, easy to use button on the steering wheel, only complain is the road noise is more than I expected. Gas milage is not great but probably need several weeks to break in. Anyway, thanks to people on this forum with all the info and good luck to future buyers.

Reading some of these posts shocks me.

It is hard for me to fathom people paying anything more than 21 or 22k for a Santa Fe, and that would be for a relatively loaded one.

The base GLS, which is fairly well equipped, can be had for mid 17k plus TTL.

To think some of you actually are paying 28k to 32k literally shocks me.

If you buy GLS or SE trim, you can definitely get a deal no more than 23k before ttl, just as you said, a FWD GLS invoice - 2000 rebate- 1500 discount = mid 17k. However, if somebody want the leather seat and dual zone climate control in Ltd trim, it is gonna be very hard to get a deal below 25k since their MSRP is around 32k. I guess I am getting your point clearly, do you mean people are not getting good enough deals or they shouldn't go for the highest trim?
