I can give you an honest opinion if you tell me what the MSRP was on the FWD Limited that you were quoted 25,000 for? What options were included? Does the 25000 include tax, reg, and fees?

PS. My husband and I just bought 2 Santa Fe SE FWD. Love them.

We purchased our first 09 Santa Fe in August. SE FWD was MSRP $25,770, paid $21,250 + tax and fees. Saturday purchased a second SE FWD MSRP $26,285, paid $21,000 + tax and fees.

Figures, I feel like I got a bad deal then. I just got a 2008 AWD Limited with sunroof, dvd etc for $25,700. After all the research I had done, it seemed a good deal right up until I found this forum today, less than 24 hrs after I purchased the car. The 2008 had 400 miles on it. The buying experience was very good, but no wonder if they walked away with a couple of grand. I had put 6k down and have 5% interest. Sigh...

I am not kidding, I had looked everywhere for TMVs and such. I got the car because it was what I needed in a vehicle at a price I thought fair. My subaru was dead at 124k. Worst time to have to buy a car.

Since I am signed sealed and delivered, any recourse? It would be nice to save 3 or 4 k.

I am on the verge of buying Santa Fe, I am so glad that I found this forum else I would have paid more than 25K.

Does anyone here have any experience buying from Burlington(vermont) dealers? How much should I expect here?

Really appreciate a response.

pdsabre, no you cannot get any money back. Once you sign the dotted line, you agree. No buyers remorse.

I don't think you got a bad deal, necessarily. You got the most expensive trim with expensive options. The only down side is that you bought a 2008 and not a 2009. Be happy about your new car. Trust me, I hate finding out I could have done better. But it is done. And the Santa Fe is great. Enjoy!

The one we were quotes $25k for was a limited with no additional big options...(i.e no RSE pakage, no touring package. I can't exactly remember the MSRP, but I think it was somewhere around $31k. Does that sound right?

Anyway, we did an about face, and bought a 2010 Ford Flex SE. We got it with Microsoft Sync (w/o navigation screen), the towing package, and the roof rails. We had them install satellite radio and remote start as well. MSRP was 30,083 + ~1,050 for for the sirius and remote start. We paid $27.5 ($5k down) and got 4.64% rate. So far we are happy, but we've only had it for 1 day.

I am pretty happy, I think I got the best deal I could in my area NY. Three grand would have been nice, but you are right. Fido as we used to say.

Just made a deal for a 2009 FWD SF Limited. MSRP = 33275
Invoice quoted as = 31369
Paid = 28686
Limited with RSE Touring Package. Also stated to have side rails and floor mats.
How did I do? That price does reflect the 2500 cash back rebate.

What area of the country are you in? In the northeast, right now you would have gotten invoice minus $2500 rebate minus $1500-1700 dealer cash.

Well, that is a bit unfortunate I don't live there. I live in the Southwest, and I have the vehicle being delivered from the Midwest. That extra 1500-1700 would have been nice. However, I am quite pleased with the work the dealer I worked with. My local dealer promised that there was no way I could get what I wanted. The Midwest dealer has shown me that is not correct. Too bad I did the legwork to get my vehicle (OK, "webwork", as I didn't have to doing any walking.
