About Spreen Honda by rustyjay

I was just contacted by their Internet Sales Manager. The owner has decided that he will add $2500 to the MSRP for any Pilot. He also said that in So. Cal., Spreen is one of the cheapest dealers out there.

Just because they tell you that they are only selling the vehicle for MSRP doesn't make it so,
if you don't get a drive out price you don't know for sure. Don't forget about all of the extra little charges that can be added in the TT&L, like dealer prep fees, environmental fees, etc. I would discount the pilot $500 if I can charge $1,000 for dealer prep. Good luck to you all.

bought mine friday night in dallas, tx. paid msrp ($32,480) plus $500 extra to tint the front windows and for the roof rack rails. also talked them up $400 on my trade, but was still disappointed with the offer. i wanted the pilot, though, so i took it. overall was a very pleasant experience, but i am a repeat (4x) buyer at this dealer.

I just got back from visiting Weseloh in person. The sales person said that they had not yet determined the prices. He said they would most likly be charging $3,000.00 over MSRP. He said they lost too much money selling the oddesy at MSRP. Is Nora a sales person or is she more important. Did you get it in writing from her that they are only going to charge you MSRP.

copterpilot1 - did the salesperson say that to you with a straight face?!!!
More likely they are second-guessing their decision not to shaft Odyssey customers and make even more money...

I hate reading about the Honda/Acura price gouging that continually goes on. Everyone, I know they have a very good reliability record, but please shop around and do your homework before just agreeing to pay what ever the dealer tells you to. There is too much competition out there to be paying $2000 over MSRP for any vehicle. Please shop carefully!

I remember that dealer, of course, I always referred to it as "Weasel-ho." Nice location though.

If a dealer sells a car that is less in demand like an Accord for near invoice then?

It all averages out...

sorry...couldn't resist!
