Replying to: 4343 (Jul 02, 2009 5:33 pm) I have an offer on the table for a 09 4wd Touring (RES, NAV, Running Boards) 32K OTD 35,100. Its a Demo with 6,800 miles. I'm starting to lean towards a new 10 4wd EX-L w/ RES, Running Boards and after market bluetooth Best quote for this has been 35,200 OTD 38,350 I haven't worked the 2010 Ex-L price down yet, however, so I think this is still a bit high. I am leaning towards the 2010 car for the simple fact that the trade-in value in 4-5 years will be higher. Anyone else have any thoughts on this? |

Replying to: 4343 (Jul 02, 2009 5:33 pm) I started out wanting an 09 2WD EX-L. I started getting quotes and pretty soon had some offers and constant communications with dealers. I was specific on color combination so it was a pretty hard match. As it went on, I started thinking well, what if I compromise on it and maybe pay extra for 4WD EX-L or maybe 4WD EX-L with RES, etc etc. After a few days I thought about it hard and I came to the decision that I do not want to spend the extra on 4WD or RES just to get the color or the 09s I want. If I can't get what I wanted, I say to myself, I am not willing to pay more for something that I don't need for a specific year model. I rather not buy. Plus it sure makes it confusing for myself without the dealers help. Hahaha... Compare apples to apples. Your situation may be different. Best 09 2WD EX-L was $29,000.00 + doc fee + TTL but not the color I wanted. Best 10 2WD EX-L $30,000.00 + doc fee + TTL If I waited it out, I may have been able to get the 09s at $28,000.00. However, with what I can compare with the 2010, even at $28,000.00 (if I get it) for the 09s is only a $2k difference. I went with the 2010. I feel that the 09s and 10s price difference have to be larger to make it worth getting the 09s. Hope it helps.

Replying to: nuzy (Jul 02, 2009 6:53 pm) I'm not sure what to say about the 2010 EXL w/ Res as I haven't considered one yet. There are a few features on the Touring that I would really like to get, I just don't want to pay too much more for them. Given the 09 and 10 are almost identical, I'm good with going with a better deal on a 09, regardless of the extra year. After all, that's the whole reason you are getting the better deal (in addition to the demo miles). Good luck with your decision! |

Hello all: I bought a 2010 4WD Touring with NAV and RES for about 36900 plus tax in the Boston area. I went to a few dealers in the area and there were not a lot of Touring models in stock. A few dealers did not have them at all. I think I could have done better but oh well. JC |

I just put a new 2009 2WD Touring w/ RES on hold through Monday. The price I was quoted was $33,130. The only fees not included in this price are title and plates, which amount to approx. $300. Does this seem like a competitive price? Thanks!
