So i finally found the exact car i had been looking for.. it was the 1lt that has bluetooth and the rear view camera.. though i get in there, and realize it also had the cargo package, so that made the msrp 26910 or so I used the supplier discount through the credit union to get them to reduce the sale price to 25,510. However, when they write up the sales slip they then show a $325 admin fee and a $198 title/plate transfer fee. I tried to get them to at least get rid of the admin fee but it was a no go. Is $198 (in PA) typical to transfer the title and plates from my old car? Any tricks to get them to remove this admin fee... I basically signed a temporary financing paper on Saturday that let me take the car home until wednesday when i get approval on the loan from my other credit union. (I have one already approved but at a higher interest rate, 7.55 while the other is only 5.25 if i get it). Is it too late to haggle on the admin fee at least? I heard there is a 3 day return period? Any thoughts.. Thanks

We have decided on a 2010 1LT Equinox with the Vehicle Interface Package. MSRP is $24,600 and with rebates we are getting it for $22,286 before TTL. I believe we did well and we looked at the 2010 Ford Escape and 2009 Toyota Highlander and Venza before deciding. The Equinox had the quietest ride of all 4 and had the most feature we wanted (USB, Bluetooth, remote start). Power Seats would have been nice, but we wanted to stay close to $22,000. The 2 Toyota's had the best seats and interior trim, but lost out on the above checklist and price. Coming from a "Toyota" guy, deciding on the Equinox was quite easy, since it had what we were looking for. |

Replying to: antilles72 (Nov 17, 2009 1:53 pm) There was not one in my area that wasn't being marked up $2000 over sticker so I traveled 20 miles to a dealer that had none on the lot, but two already ordered. They actually gave me a discount for AAA or something. I think it was $23100 after doc fees. I got $4500 c4c for my $500 truck and had $2600 on my GM Card, so I was out the door for $15600 plus tax. I got lucky, I took whatever I could get and actually like the car. I didn't want black again, but that's what I have.

Do Canadians not buy the Equinox which is assembled in Ingersol Ontario? Are you too embarrased to admit you got hosed in Canada because you pay 20% more after the exchange rate than Americans! I would like to know what Canadians are paying for the Equinox!
