Valley Forge Marketplace to Host Family Fun Day & Car Show Proceeds to Benefit The West Norriton Township Police Association   WEST NORRITON – Classic, antique and muscle cars, hot rods, custom trucks, modified and stock bikes will fill the Valley Forge Marketplace’s parking lot on Saturday, September 30th during the Family Fun Day and Car Show taking place from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. [Rain date is Sunday, October 1st]   The proceeds from this Family Fun Day and Car Show will benefit the West Norriton Township Police Association.   In addition to the Car Show, there will be a special guest appearance by The Killer Bee Monster Truck, driven by Tim Bee. Additional attractions and entertainment include a moon bounce, giant slide, face painting, balloons and magic tricks, food and beverages, along with a raffle with prizes such as an iPod Shuffel, portable DVD player, CD stereo, digital camera with printer, an LCD TV and gift cards from the Marketplace tenant’s to name a few. Craft activities are planned for the younger crowd to build a Kid’s Kit sponsored by Home Depot and meet the Chick-fil-A Cow.   The Valley Forge Marketplace is located at 600 S Trooper Road, Norristown (intersection of Trooper Road / Route 363 and Egypt Road in West Norriton Township) Montgomery County, PA.   For additional information and registration form to participate in the Car Show please call the West Norriton Township Police Association at 610-630-0977.

Replying to: lemko (Sep 13, 2006 11:22 am) Yeah Lemko, I'm planning on doing both events, on those Saturdays. Wow, I'm going to be making a lot of trips to PA. On the 23rd I'm driving my Grandma up to Harrisburg for her high school reunion. She was class of 1942 I think.   I keep getting this mental image of that episode of Mama's Family where they had the people in the old folks home playing musical chairs to the tune of "Chariots of Fire". Nah, seriously it's not that bad. I took her up for her reunion 2 years ago, and she had a good time.   But yeah, I'm definitely up for both of those events. As far as I know Grbeck is too. But even if he can't make it, I'd still be up for it.

On April 21, 2007, there's the 10th Annual Strawberry Classic Car Show from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Spectators can see cars and trucks manufactured in 1982 and before – antiques, customs, classics and hotrods – in and around McCall Park, 100 N. Collins St. in Plant City. Classic southern rock bands perform all throughout the evening. Also, vendors and crafters will be there with a plethora of the latest hotrod and automotive accessories. I am a Desert Storm Veteran and I still have friends and family serving this great country. I thought this would be a great way to help those that are giving the most. The first car show is July 1st in DeSoto Texas. We need at least 50 or more cars at this show. If you are interested please let me know.
