#828 of 832 Golf TDI vs GTD [thammer62]

I wonder what the difference in suspension will be on the Golf we get in the US, to the much praised Golf GTD being tested all over the World? The extra 30 HP is not as important to me as the handling and braking. I am also hoping they come with the seats that the GTI has.

thammer: where did you get the idea that it would cost $800 for a chip (aka remapping the engine computer)? The most I've ever paid to chip a VW TDI was around $300.

vwgreg post 110this idiot who says the GTD wont be here in oct. absolutely has no idea what he is talking about. i can see the GTDs on my vw ordering site, however i cant activate an order for one yet.
Contact vwgreg to order a GTD, they should be at dealer very soon (according to vwgreg).

The only person who is an idiot is the person who mails "vwgreg" money for a GTD when it is impossible to get one in this country for multiple reasons. So fishy sounding. Please give some proof that it's coming or stop teasing people who believe everything they read on the lovely internet.

I actually meant to hit 3 as in $300 instead of 800 for the chip cost. I don't know if I'm the only one with this problem but with texting now as convenient and popular as it is, the numbers are upsidedown when I type on a numbers keypad on my keyboard - and I constantly have to pause to remember which task I'm doing:
Text #s:
123
456
789
0
Keyboard keypad #s:
789
456
123
0
Oh well, probably just me.
