it pairs up with the phone and i can dial the number but 30 seconds into the conversation it goes right back to cd player. i just got a new phone. it is a samsung sc500. previously i had a motorola razr and it worked great. i presently am with alltel. i also have a phone with my mother which is verizon and it is also a samsung. i can still talk on the verizon samsung like normal. it won't disconnect. but the samsung through alltel disconnets. any ideas for me? i have both phones paired up correctly and select the right phone when i am trying to use that particular phone. help?? i have 12 days left to decide whether to get another motorola razr instead. i am not going to have this beautiful new car with this fabulous technology and not be able to use it like i want to. ladybugbaby |

I have a treo 700p. I go through the process of pairing, using the code given by the camry....my 700p indicates that pairing has occured, but the camry doesnt. Should the camry screen show that the bluetooth is active (seems so in the car handbook). If so, mine doesnt. How does one get that activated? Any help appreciated. By the way, I dont think this is a treo problem. It pairs/functions fine with my bluetooth gps. tm polson, mt

Thanks for the response....for some reason that doesnt solve it though. I have done as you suggested. The pull-down choice is to disconnect, rather than to connect. From all indications that I see, the Treo sees itself as connected....it is the Camry Hands Free that continues to search for the treo until it finally times out. The Camry manual indicates that there should be some visual indication of 'bluetooth' in the visual display. There is nothing on mine that I can see. While the Hands Free system goes through the process of naming/confirming the name and giving a code for the device, there is no evidence that 'bluetooth' itself is functioning in the Camry. The handbook gives on the impression that that system can be initialized somehow....but the instructions are criptic enough that I dont understand the process. Ideas? Thanks for your help with this. |

| I suggest you see your salesperson at the dealership. I assume you got the "white glove" delivery run through, and at this time your salesperson should have shown you how to set up the bluetooth, and set it up for you if you had the phone with you. Stop by...bring your phone...have him/her do it and find out what you are doing wrong at the same time.JMHO. | |

i just bought a 2008 camry xle and tried to register my treo700wx with no luck. i get as far as entering the passkey into the treo after the "hands free" is recognized, but once i try accepting the passkey, the camry tells me the registration failed... i am about to lose my mind... any suggestions?

I recently got an AT&T Tilt (Christmas). I have gone through the process on my 2007 Camry to "pair phone". It works and I can talk fine. However, the car does not remember being paired, from day to day. If I go into the car tomorrow, it will not be paired and I will have to pair it all over again. It does work, if I do so again, but I figured I would have to pair once, then it would just be paired every time I get into the car. If I get into the car the next day and attempt to dial by name, it responds, "Not Linked". What am I missing? Thanks. Dan

Has anyone been able to set up the bluetooth to just say "call mom" while driving w navigation? Some have said that in other posts but others say you have to go through "dial by name"...etc. I've set up the nametags but saying them just takes me again to a menu where i have to confirm the name...basically its not the 6 sec command that i was hoping for.
