It was for 08. CX-7 must have been selling very well here, because when I checked their inventories a few months ago, all the 07 were gone at that time.

I did not haggle much, but I believe I can get down to at least the invoice price if I submit the offer to the manager, probably not $500 below invoice as others reported here. 0% APR is not bad at all compared to the $1500 cash back.

I guess it was probably the salesman spoiled my appetite. He felt like very foxy. The salesman cannot say anything on the final price anyway. He should have saved the price talk for later, seduced me to test drive the car, made me fall in love with it, and then brought the price to his manager. Being so firm on the price up front could only drive potential buyers away. Even Toyota and Honda have never done this to me.

I just went and test drove the CX7 here...There are a bunch of 07s on the lot, but it was getting late so I didnt really get a chance to talk to much pricing, I mainly wanted to test drive the car.

They had an 07 Touring (Don't know the options) for 24600. The vehicle I test drove was an 08 GT with no options besides floor mats and wheel locks. List was 28,873 , they gave a us a price of 25,700 for it with the 1500 cash back.

if you have the s-plan, you might as well for the GT-AWD and go for 2008!
trust me it will make a difference with gas prices.
i purchased the 2008-AWD-GT and I am very happy with the price.

I'm on LI too,and going to start looking at same model;
CX -7 grand touring.

Looking to lease end march, beg. April, depending on incentives.

Any specific dealers you recommend in suffolk/nassau? And are they upfront about their resid value and money factors or do i get that info from another source?

I appreciate your thoughts!

If you are willing to go upstate, you can get better deals.

Matthews Mazda near Binghamton, NY had a 08 GT AWD, no options but floor mats, MSRP 28 something. They offered it straight up after a test drive for ~25,600 without even negotiating. Mazda at the time was offering 1500 cash back also, dont know if thats still there.

Thanks for your assistance

Sounds pretty decent, 3500 below invoice is about 4500 under MSRP. Thats good and for 21,400 thats a great car.

But, I don't know how well they sell around you, but people were posting stories of 6k MSRP off way back in october and the like on 07s. That car has probably been on the lot for many many months now and while there weren't any real changes for 08, its still a year old.

I think you might be able to do a little better...

I assume you are in the seattle area?
