hi guys, i was actually thankful that i came across this forum cause it gave me pretty good idea about the prices and the car itself.......i just wanna get all your opinion on this........i have a 03 mitsu eclipse with about 71,000 miles and i still owe about $10,000 on it........anyways, i had it appraised and the most i can get is about $6000 so that would leave me $4000 under........i saw a used 07 cx7 sport fwd with 8900 miles on it selling for $20,500 at the mitsu dealer.....i was gonna trade my eclipse for the endeavor and then i saw that one and backed out the deal so i can research more of the car.........i really want the gt or even the touring but my mentality is that i don't wanna go for a brand new one and a higher trim cause i'm always thinking of the $4000 that will go on top of it........i figure i can go for THAT used one and try to bring it down to at least 18000, if possible.......i did the edmunds price quotes and sent it to a couple dealers for a sport fwd.....the best price i got is $21,300..........

so, is $21,300 a good price for a new one or you guys think i can still get it lower?
or should i try to get that used one even lower? how much lower do you guys think i can get the used one.........

sorry if i confused people with this message, but i hope you guys can give me some useful tips and ideas.......thanks........

Do dealers around you have a lot of 07s left?

Because it looks like you're getting 5k+ off MSRP, and it makes me think I should be looking at what left overs are on the lots now.

What are the current end of the year rebates for left over 07s? by sabre364

Does anyone know at this time (late december/early Jan), what the mazda rebates on left over 07 models are? It seems as though people are still getting 5-6k off loaded CX7s as was happening in sept/october, though only in some locations around the country.

How much would be taken off a more basic model, like a sport AWD?

within 150miles, there are around 10 different mazda dealers and they do have 07(florida) but the dealer I worked with, has almost no 07s.( I think they are good sellers).

Actually i was also looking for 07s with very good price but the other dealers tried to rip me off. some of them offer me over 25K for 07 models!!!

this dealer offer me that price at the very 1st time. I didn't know whether the price is reasonable or not. but after some researching I found out that it's very reasonable price. I don't like playing games and i want to give credit to those 'honest' people.

I just had a deal today!!

Options Added by Dealer by rob222

Is it SOP for dealers to charge you the labor cost to add options onto the car you want buy? For example I agree to buy a car that does not include certain options that I desire, for example, Sirius radio The dealer tells me the cost of the option and labor cost to install it. Is this a skam?

I've always considered everything negotiable. But you have the most leverage BEFORE you buy, because once you own the car, you WILL pay for labor for all the extras. Have them throw it in to close the deal.
