This past weekend I purchased the following vehicle at a dealer near Boston, MA 2008 CX-7 Grand Touring AWD Liquid Platinum Metallic Black Leather Moonroof/Bose package I paid $26,400 (with the $1,500 incentive being factored in). I ended up with a bad taste in my mouth because they sealed the deal with an additonal $500 rebate they promised using Mazda's recent college graduate program through the website, facebook.com. When I called the next day to process the rebate, Mazda customer service told me the incentive had expired quite a while ago and my dealership was mistaken. The dealership wouldn't make up the full $500, only coming down $100. Due to limited inventory of the CX-7 with these specific in the area, I ended up staying with the this dealer and completing a sale. I spoke to another dealer who was willing to come down to around $25k (give or take) if I was willing to take the 2007 instead of the 2008.

I got my CX-7 GT loaded except the technology package. MSRP - $30,973, Bought for $25473. $5500 off sticker includes discount to $500 under invoice + dealer cash. When you buy a CX-7, there seems to be a lot of dealer cash incentives. Tell the dealership that you want all of the dealer cash along with $500 under invoice. The $500 under is tough to get, but you should be able to get a pretty good amount of $ in your pocket if you tell them that you want the dealer cash taken off of the price as well. The dealer cash is the $ they get from Mazda for each car that they sell at or beyond their goal. You can get this $ because most dealerships will sell you the car just to get a number towards their goal. I got a pretty sweet deal and I couldn't be happier, except for the door armrests vibrating loud where there is plastic on plastic construction by the window controls.

Quoted $24166 for '08 CX-7 Touring FWD crystal white. It was $25545 with the Bose option. Looks like I should be able to do much better. I also have the S-plan which I have never used. Should I ask for the dealer cash in addition to the S-plan pricing?

hi guys, i was actually thankful that i came across this forum cause it gave me pretty good idea about the prices and the car itself.......i just wanna get all your opinion on this........i have a 03 mitsu eclipse with about 71,000 miles and i still owe about $10,000 on it........anyways, i had it appraised and the most i can get is about $6000 so that would leave me $4000 under........i saw a used 07 cx7 sport fwd with 8900 miles on it selling for $20,500 at the mitsu dealer.....i was gonna trade my eclipse for the endeavor and then i saw that one and backed out the deal so i can research more of the car.........i really want the gt or even the touring but my mentality is that i don't wanna go for a brand new one and a higher trim cause i'm always thinking of the $4000 that will go on top of it........i figure i can go for THAT used one and try to bring it down to at least 18000, if possible.......i did the edmunds price quotes and sent it to a couple dealers for a sport fwd.....the best price i got is $21,300.......... so, is $21,300 a good price for a new one or you guys think i can still get it lower? or should i try to get that used one even lower? how much lower do you guys think i can get the used one......... sorry if i confused people with this message, but i hope you guys can give me some useful tips and ideas.......thanks........ |
