Hey, I worked out a great deal on a 2007 CX7 GT AWD with the bose/sunroof pkg for $24,180 + ttl. Since I can't use the special financing with this deal, I went through Costco and got an awesome rate. The problem is the dealer is refusing to take it...Costco basically gives you a blank check you use to pay for the car, so to the dealer it's basically the same as a cash transaction. I talked to Costco about it and they said a few dealers refuse it (they said about 1%) because they don't get a kickback on it like normal financing (which is why the rate is lower). I'm checking with other dealers in the area to see if they can give me the same deal and take the financing but stock is running low on 2007s here so I don't think I'm going to be able to find the same deal anywhere else. Any ideas? What really bugs me is that the dealer I'm using is part of the Costco auto buying program but yet they don't take the Costco financing! (Edit: I got the e-mails of the general manager, general sales manager, and sales manager from the dealer website and left them polite messages asking if they want my business...we'll see if that helps.) |

Hi guys, got my CX-7 GT w/ moonroof/Bose package last month for $5500 off MSRP + TTL here in TX. The dealer did rip me off by giving me a very high apr, 7.7%, though I refinanced to a lower apr later. I've been reading in this forum that CX-7 are on sale at this discount, that is one of the reasons I can get this price. |

I just got a GT with Bose/Moonroof, Sirius Sat., and preferred package for $25000 drive off. That's roughly $22900 before tax and fees. This is $6300 off MSRP. You just have to work the dealers over and buy at the end of the month. A little FYI, because of the deals they are offering on the 6 they have to sell a certain number of Mazdas (no matter the model) to get a rebate back from the manufacturer on the 6. They will sell a CX-7 at a loss if it means they will have a sale to meet their monthly goal and get the rebates on the 6. The dealer informed me of this after we worked out our deal. This explained why most other dealers would not go under $5000 off MSRP. You just got to play the game

2007 CX-7 Touring AWD with Tech Package and Preferred Equipment Package. Liquid Platinum Metallic w/ Black leather interior. MSRP $31,990 Selling price or Capitalized cost: $2480 back of Dealer invoice (around 27,500? I forgot what invoice was). Lease Term: 24 months Miles: 15K Drive-off: $2500 Lease money Factor: .00054 Residual: $21,000. Payment: $234 + Tax = 250.00 Still can't believe wife and I got this w/a tech package & AWD for a mid $200 monthly payment! I made sure that the dealer wasn't making any extra money, there wasn't anything but negative revenue in the "gross screen" (dealer uses a software called ADP and can reveal if there's money in the deal by checking this screen).
