My wife drives an '04 AWD V6 and, in our very unscientific calculations, she gets between 19 and 23 MPG on a tank.   Granted, her commute is about 15-20 miles of most two lane highway that she drives at 55-60MPH, but I suspect that your mileage will increase once you've got a few thousand miles on it.

We had a 2003 V6 FWD Vue with the old, nonHonda V6. It wasn't a bad engine either. We routinely got high 20s on the hwy and low 20s in town.   But the Honda V6 does about the same with 70 more horsepower.

I sat down and calculated the overall mileage we've gotten since we bought our 2006 FWD VUE w/Honda V6 new in April 2006. It's primarily my daily commuter ~ 30 miles per day, mixed driving. We've put ~15108 miles on it bought about 660 gallons reg octane petro... Avg = 22.89mpg. I'm pretty darn happy with that. In an excursion PDX, OR to E.S., AR (and back) we had several tanks register 28-29mpg cruising 65 -75 mph. We were averaging 24-29 mpg running on the hwy - depending on the wind(strong headwinds in ND-WY killed the mileage). Even though it only has a 16 gallon tank, we could run 400+ miles between fill ups with the mileage we got.(you do have to look ahead for stops depending on whre you are at - we were running OR to AR and there are a lot of distances between gas stops in some parts) as I mentioned we were booking 65-75 mph all the time. Replying to: trraffic (Mar 14, 2007 11:26 am) I guess I should have done more research on the vues gas milage.This is my 4th saturn but first vue I just bought my 07 5spd 4cyl vue first tank 14.8 mpg second tank took a hiwghay trip got 16.9. Ive read the post about better gas milage after it breaks in but these numbers just scare me i know the epa is never right but this model is rated 23/29 14/17 is ridiculous . Thinking about using there 30 day 1500 mile gaurantee and getting a different vue if I still get that bad of gas milage it will be back to the ions or auras for me Replies to this message: speedingticket (Jun 13, 2007 9:21 am)

Replying to: jclnick (Mar 20, 2006 7:47 pm) I get less than 12 mpg around town and about 23 on long freeway trips. BAAAADDDDD !!!! I agree that it was misrepresented when I purchased. I wouldn't have purchased at 11! Anything under 15-17 around town is rediculous.

The trick with the Vue is to keep the revs under 2000 rpm, drive like there is an egg under your foot. If you push it it will suck gas back to the 17-19 mpg range in the city. Overall I am happy with it, I hear the '08 V6 is about 500 lbs heavier is alot thirstier on gas and has about 20% less cargo room. This will be my last Saturn.
