Hi fadil. If you are confident that you can get a 2007 Toyota Avalon for $500 over dealer invoice as well (this is a good price btw) then you absolutely should wait and go with the 2007 model. Given the lack of lease support on this car, all things being equal...namely price, the '07 model will actually cost less to lease than a 2006 model would because of the '07's higher residual values.

3rd Party Lease Recommendation by tstrick320

I leased my 2006 Avalon Limited in January of this year. I used leasecompare.com and they were excellent. I was able to get the lease terms nailed down before I visited the showroom. I did give the dealer an opportunity to meet or beat those terms but their finance guy took one look and immediately said he could not come close.

I highly recommend these folks. Great customer service and an excellent deal.

One caveat though: You need to be prepared for it to take a few days to "close" the sale. Working with a 3rd party is a little more complicated only because the dealership isn't used to doing things that way. If you need to be able to walk into the dealer and drive out with a car then this approach is not for you (and the salesman will be thrilled to see you ) If waiting a few extra days for your car is worth saving a few thousand $$ then this is definitely the way to go.

Toyota Avalon LTD and XLS by philidor1

Car_Man, and other board surfers:

Does anyone have the March Lease numbers on the Toyota Avalon Limited and XLS models? I need the Residuals, Lease Rates (Money Factor) and good-deal Cap Cost on a 36 mo. 15K/yr lease, with as little $$ down as possible. TFS Tier I credit and Toyota loyalty credit apply.

Many thanks in advance for all who are in a position to comment and provide whatever information they have.

philidor1,

I hope this is not too late to help. This week I leased an XLS with VCS, JBL, and mats. 36 mos., 12k mi., 0 down.

33,874 MSRP
30,378 Dealer invoice
    + tax & fees
32,389 Cap cost
.00199 Money factor
18,969 Residual
   475 Monthly pymt.

The same deal on a Limited would have been

35,534 MSRP
32,004 Dealer invoice
34,164 Cap cost
.00199 Money factor
18,478 Residual
   540 Monthly payment

Yes, the bank had set the residual lower on the LTD than the XLS. Toyota Finance would not do that, but their money rate is so much higher than the local bank's that the resulting monthly payment was higher than the bank's. It's a shame. I really wanted the LTD, but not at that payment.

Interesting also is that Infiniti Finance is offering a special on 27mo leases. I could get a basic M35x (MSRP $45,000+) for $550/mo. which could be lowered to $515 if I made $2,000 in refundable security deposits. Unfortunately (for me), the M's are built more for performance than comfy ride. I asked the Toyota dealer if Toyota Finance would do the same thing (multiple security deposits) on an LTD and he said no.

Hi Philidor1. This car's lease program varies by region. In your area, Toyota's New York region, Toyota Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2007 Toyota Avalon XLS with 15,000 miles per year are .00185 and 56%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its "Tier 1+" credit tier.

Hi thilmony. Toyota's lease program for the Avalon varies quite a bit by region. If you let me know what state you are in I can try to find out what its current program is like in your area. Also make sure to tell me how long you want to lease for and what mileage allowance you need.
