Hello Car_man, This is the quote I received yesterday for a 2007 Prius with package #3. This probably includes carpet and other items which come to $192 over MSRP -($25,500) MSRP: $25,692 - my cost $24,500 -$1,323 over Inv. INV: $23,177 M.F. .00055 (1.32%) same as Feb. Resdidual looks like 51%. They said the residual was $13,140. TERMS: 36 months and 12,000 miles per year. I am considering ordering this car tomorrow (3/23/07) WHAT DO YOU THINK? Appreciate your thoughts! Addie |

Replying to: Car_man (Mar 22, 2007 2:59 am) Many thanks for your prompt response. While I agree that the money factor on said vehicle is .00113 in certain regions I have also discovered that in TN it is .00024. What I have not been able to confirm is the vehicle's residual in TN and/or Virgina. Those dealers advise that I must choose a particular car and that car's invoice reflects an individual residual - this appears strange to say the least. To complicate matters further, the residuals which those dealers advise of appears to be extremely low (i.e. - a residual of $13,650 for a Prius Touring with PKG #3). I can confirm that the residual in the SE is 53%, plus a $1,700 bonus added thereafter. Thx. |

I got the following figure (in Rhode Island) for leasing Touring model with package #2. Sale Price: $24,212 Residual: $13,500 Down: $1,999 + $600 (1st month payment and acquisition fee) Monthly payment: $273.48 And I asked for, Residual: $12,500 Down: $1,999 Monthly payment: $250 So far no luck. Any suggestion. P/s: BTW, I wonder does the car selling in Phoenix (SW area) have any different treatment due to weather concern compared to those sell in New England, or vice versa. |

Hi. I am considering leasing a toyota prius. What exactly is the federal tax credit? Is it deducted directly from the tax owed to the federal government? (for example if i owed $2000 in taxes, would it be reduced to 200 with an $1800 tax credit on hybrid car?) Would leasing a prius also qualify me for the tax credit in california? Thanks. |

Considering Prius lease offered here in Grand Rapids Michigan. I would prefer to put $0.00 down. I have driven the car and like it so that part is over with. What should I expect to ge tthis car for monthly? I don't really "get" the figures below. I know that they can deal on leases also. Should I start by offering what I want to pay for the car overall. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks... specifics: 2007 Prius 5-Door Liftback Model 1224 – ECVT transmission, vehicle skid control, backup camera, smart key system, AM/FM/CD changer/MP3/ with 6 speakers, carpeted floor mats and cargo mat, rear bumper appliqué, and more! $259/Mo. – 36 Month Lease. $1,999 due at lease signing. Includes $1,190 Customer Down Payment + First Month’s Payment/$259 + Acquisition Fee/$550. $300 security deposit waived to qualified buyers subject to approved credit through Toyota Financial Services. Good on Tier I PLUS only. 36-month payments total $9,324 – excludes state and local taxes, tags, registration and title, insurance, and dealer charges. Lease Factor .00024. Closed-End Lease. Lease-end purchase option $12,990. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the 2007 Prius 5-Door Liftback Model 1224 is $24,234. Includes destination charge, but excludes state and local taxes, tags, registration and title, insurance, and dealer charges. Adjusted Capitalized Cost is $22,011 based on dealer participation. |

Hi, I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and am looking for the money factor and residual fidures for a 2007 prius. I have been talking to dealerships and they are telling me that the current money factor and residual value offered by toyota are .0004 and 48% respectively for a 36 month lease. I was looking in this forum and i got .001311 and 57% respectively for a 36 month lease. the second one is clearly more attractive. what are the true figures?

Replying to: osk86 (Mar 30, 2007 6:42 pm) When our second car goes back in May we hope to get an additional Prius. At 471/2 miles per gallon we are very happy. |
