Oh boy, I can tell I'm in for it. Two weeks ago I traded in my 2004 Sierra Crew Cab - man I loved that truck... And bought a new 2011 Sierra Crew Cab. 42 miles on it when I took it off the lot. The next day driving to work I noticed an annoying vibration at 50-55 mph. It's in the seat, pedal, steering wheel. My kids got car sick riding in the back seat... The service guy looked knowingly at the service manager the other day and said to him 'vibration at 50mph'. Now i know why. They tried to tell me it was the tires and I should drive it some more and it will go away. 800 miles on it now two weeks later and it's more noticeable than ever. Dropping it off tomorrow for an 'alignment'. I gotta tell you it sure feels like the tranny or an unbalanced drive shaft... I am more upset than I can express. I have been swindled out of 40k. Won't happen again.

Looks like today is alignment day - please keep us posted on how it goes! I hope that the vibration is resolved, but if not we're available to assist in follow-up.

Well, they're keeping my truck for another day or two. It looks like it needs more than just an alignment, but they say there is a fix for it. (There is a GM Tech Bulletin about Suspension Vibration that specifies a fix for this) I sure hope whatever they do takes care of it once and for all... I have to say the service department where I purchased my truck has definitely been helpful so far.

I also have a 2010 Silverado ext. cab that has 17,000 miles on it. The vibration at all speeds began to occur about 4,000 miles ago. So far the dealership has replaced the rear shocks, the tires, checked alignment, and still no resolution. If there is a TSB about this item I will be more than excited to hear what the solution is. Any type of bump, expansion joint, or deviation in the road will cause the entire truck to jounce from left to right. On the expressway going 70 m.p.h you will experience the same excessive bouncing. A cup of coffee in the center console will shake itself right out. There is no excuse for these defect(s) and I will be glad to hear of some sort of resolve. My dealership is about done with being "participative".

Thank you for your patience, although I can understand if it's wearing thin. I am unable to access TSBs as a Customer Service Representative, but hopefully we'll hear more from gmcwoe. In the meantime, if you would like to open a Service Request with us so we can help in working with your dealership towards resolving this, please get in touch via email with more information (your name/Edmunds username, phone and address, the last 8 of your VIN and current mileage, and the name of your dealership).
Best,
Sarah

Greetings:
I have a 2007 Silverado LT 6.0Ltr, 4X4 ( not classic ) I "had" a tinny, obnoxious vibration on acceleration at exactly 1500rpm. As recommended on another website, I went under that truck at the passengers door and located the screen mesh on the exhaust pipe. I moved this screen mesh back and forth for about 15 seconds. Went out for a drive and the vibration is gone. Mmmm....what's up with that. If the vibration returns , I'll try it again.

On my 2010 Silverado under the passenger side the dealership replaced the heat shield because of an improper assembly the shield would rattle.
