Replying to: jack_sprat (May 31, 2007 6:51 am) I was at the dealership yesterday in Glendora CA, and they did a search, and found that there was only one car available (Vin in the 211xxx range) that is exactly the way I would want one. Interesting was that they had a Limited with a Vin of 183xxx that had XM. Base MSRP is $27,335. The build date on that car . . . Dec 04, 2006. The MSRP bottom of the Maroney on the one I'd buy IF I could is $31.390 They said that IF they had that particular one in stock, it could be purchased for $26,999 plus tax and license. They offered to sell any car they had in stock for similar prices, but I want a Limited Power Pearl White with Beige interior w/XM and the newer group 25 option package ($3100 MSRP) which has the newer (better?) radio package. They did not have any Azeras with that Group 25 ($3100 MSRP) package in stock, so I could not compare different radios. HTHs

Replying to: floridabob1 (May 31, 2007 2:18 pm) The car that I saw the printout on yesterday was equipped exactly the way that I would get one IF I were able. MSRP with XM $27,335 With Optional Equipment: Option Group 25 Ultimate Package 3,100 W1 Powder White Pearl Paint 200 CF Floor Mats 95 Destination Charge 660 Total with Options $31,390 See:http://www.edmunds.com/new/2007/hyundai/azera/100844225/optionsresults.html?action=2 They told me that if they had that vehicle in stock, I could buy it for $26,999 plus tax and license. Now whether they would actually do so remains to be seen. I do know of another dealer here in Southern California that will do it I am sure for perhaps even less. HTHs |

| I'm buying a 2007 Azera Limited w/ Ultimate pkg in Northern California. I've gotten almost 10 quotes from dealerships near my house and selected two of them that are offering OTD price $29,250 and $29,050. (Rest of them offered more than $30K/The sales tax in my area is 8.25%) Next week, I'm going to visit the less-than-30K dealerships to begin negotiation. Could any of you give me some advice regarding how much amount I have to offer to them as an initiation price and how to haggle with them effectively. I really need your help since it's my first time to purchase a car in the US. Thank you in advance. | |

Replying to: diet7up (Jun 09, 2007 9:02 pm) You might as well just go make your offer to buy at the dealer closest to you. That one may be the one who will actually end up selling at the lowest price of all. It really makes no difference what they are now offering. None of the dealers see you as a serious potential buyer until you are in the showroom with your checkbook. That is when you can make your best deal. Not before. |

Be certain that there are no additional charges for programming features such as door locks or EZ exit. Accept the one from the dealer that you feel most comfortable with. Warranty service can be provided at any dealership. |

Could any of you give me some advice regarding how much amount I have to offer to them as an initiation price and how to haggle with them effectively?. Use the edmunds new car pricing to determine the TMV price of the car (including the ultimate package option) and then subtract $3,000. Use this as your initial offer before taxes, title, and license (TTL). As for your final offer, use the lower amount between the Edmunds TMV price, the Cars Direct price, and any email dealer quotes as the maximum you should pay before TTL.

Replying to: rhduke00 (Jun 10, 2007 4:20 am) Just for fun, I used a Vallejo CA, zip code (94951) to get Cars Direct pricing on a 2007 Azera Limited with the Ultimate package and XM satellite radio. The Cars Direct target price is 27,427 and includes floor mats, cargo mat, and cargo tray. A sales tax of 8.25% would add $2262.73. So if the dealer email quote of $29,050 is a true floridabob OTD price and also includes all the options I mention above, then that quote sounds like a fair price. Nevertheless, I would test a dealer's reaction to an offer of $26,000 OTD and ask him to toss in free mudgards and a Garmin Nuvi 360.
