I posted the $25,705 price. If you check Town Hyundai's web site and click on "internet pricing" you will see that they are currently offering the Azera's at $1800 under invoice, plus there is a $1,000 rebate, making the net price $2800 under invoice.

My friend is getting the black on black. Towne had to get the car from a nearby dealer, as they only had a couple Azera's on the lot and he didn't care for the colors. His wife can't get off work Wednesday, so I'm driving him the approx 100 miles to get the car. We're leaving from Trumbull, CT. Don't waste your time trying to get a car from the Bridgeport dealer. The salesman there wanted wanted $26,580 (after $2500 rebate) + their doc fee is $398 (vs $189) and, when I bought my Sonata 2 years ago they would have charged a $500 advertising fee. Oh yeah, that price was for an '06 in Bridgeport vs '07 at Towne.

This price is available. Just check their web site.

Consider trying to close your deal on the last day of the month. Dealers and salesman are a bit more interested -- to make their numbers. By 4 PM on the last day of March, I had 3 dealers willing to take my price. No one told me there was going to be $1000 rebate two days later, though. Several rejected my offer for a fully loaded 2007 Ultimate XM at $28K + TTT. Then 3 were interested and one made the deal. I thought that was a good price ($2600 below sticker) but others have apparently done better.

Bg523- I had a similar experience when we bought our 04 xgl. I go in with my cars direct print out and the internet ad from towne- they said they couldn't touch those prices. Milford wanted $21-22 for a loaded 2004 sonata. We bought the $27.7 sticker xg for the same price in New Rochelle. The bad- they closed in the last year or two. Bhmr has the right idea. If you don't want to go south to get it- autofair seemed to have quite good pricing in the past. Iirc there was someone here with the moniker hyundaisalesman (?) who might be able to help. I do think it boils down to how much do you want to save vs. how far will you go to get it. I have no experience with Lia but every once in a while their online ads seemed pretty good. Between the mentioned places (towne, fitz, autofair, even lia) my guess is most of the smaller volume places around here would be hard pressed to get you a better deal. The previous poster who mentioned eom purchases- great strategy to remember. If your future car isn't black- is it a deal buster? I suspect some colors are more negotiable than others- gl

I want to thank all you guys for pitching in with the advice. Just for the record, I am in contact with Towne - the probelm is with the color. No black-on-black's is what they tell me. Bridgeport gave me a run-around, and Danbury was even worse. Way worse. Also spoke to Lia in Hartford, but they couldn't get close on the price. The guy at Towne seems up-front. He gave me the option of ordering, but that takes 6 weeks, and puts me out of the current rebates. He won't make the deal, not knowing what the new rebate/incentive structure is. Which is honest. So I may wait to see, as well. Or change color, or just drop back and punt. (I did read an article in some car mag about the new Hyundai "Genesis" which makes the Azera look a bit fuddy-duddy. Amazing looks, specs, should be out in mid '08.) Meanwhile, I'm still looking. Last info - I have a solid offer of 26,200 plus TTL for the model/color I want. I think I'll take that, rather than wait for Towne. This is from another dealership in NJ - problem is, he has to go get the car. He says he has three possible. We'll see. When I make the deal, I will post the location, if anyone is interested. Again, appreciate all the help.

I wish I could read all that fine print in Towne's weekly ad specials. The Elantra price looks really good at $9388 with automatic, A/C and keyless entry among other things. Can anyone post a link to a pic which allows me to read the fine print in that ad?
How'd they come up with that price?

At Towne, the internet price is the internet price. Time of the month means nothing.

Towne's current advertised internet price is $2800 below INVOICE, not sticker (including teh general rebate).

Forget their "weekly special ads." Like all other dealers, those ads are designed for the uninformed. I, too was skeptical, before we bought our Sonata on 2/24, afer seeing the "weekly specials ads." One phone call showed the internet pricing beat the stuffing out of the week special prices.

We had no BS on the Sonata, $4300 under invoice including the rebates + $189 doc fee + ttl. OTD $18,189 for a car with MSRP of $22,080 before doc fee and TTL (6% sales tax).

So then, how do you think Towne came up with the $9388 price on that Elantra? Can you read the fine print in the ad?

No, I cannot read the fine print in the "weekly specials ad". But ignore the ad and contact the dealership telling them you saw their website deals.

We picked up my friend's Azera today. Everything as promised, no BS, no F & I pressure. Very friendly people. Salesman was well informed about the car, explaining various features and knowing the answers to all questions.

They are a very professional dealership. This was my first personal experience with them as I did not go to Towne when my partner picked up his Sonata on Feb. 24.

There must have been another half dozen customers in the show room when we arrived at about 11:30 today (a Wednesday). I thought that was good activity for a mid-week morning.

The sales manager even told me that he recently had a customer tell him that he learned of the dealership by reading postings on "Edmund's forum" by someone in CT . They sure seem to take an interest in their customers and I highly recommend this dealership.

P.S. They even include a free oil change 1,000 miles. Salesman offered, "since you're not from the area, anytime you're near here we'll do a free oil change." That's not likely to happen, but thought it is useful information that the first oil change is free.

Price given to me for an Azera limited no xm
25,213 invoice
+660 destination charge
+62 cargo mats
+150 national advertising
=26085 Total Invoice of car
-1800 dealer takes below invoice
=24,285 price taxed on in ny
+2033.87 tax (8.375%)
=26318.87 after tax price
-1000 factory rebate
+189 document fee
+150 dmv/registration fee ($50 if I do it)
=25657.87 drive away with car price.

Do you think this is a good price. I know the 1000 rebate is over by it will most likely come back. The advertising fee and the doc fees are just add ons no matter what they call them. Just wondering if the end price is a good one. Thanks.Oh and its an additional $1530 for the premium package.
