Yes they can. Every Dealership in the world has "Subject to" verbage some where in there paper work. What that means is that the contract is Subject to being accepted by a third party. In this case the third party is HMFC.

They would make YOU abide by any contract you signed that went in their favor, so should they. Make them eat it or void deal and return car.

RE: 455
The transaction has been consummated. One party cannot unilaterally alter the agreement.

I would strongly recommend the Azera. One, it is a newer model. It handles better and has more power. It will have better resale (guessing based on large number of great reviews). More luxury features than Amanti. Stronger dealer network than Kia.

I looked at Amanti, when I had my Hyundai XG350, and I even liked the XG better than Amanti (ride, performance, quality). My 07 Azera is another world above my old XG, although the XG was a better car than critics who hated it styling would accept.

Well.. the contract hasn't been consummated until it is approved by HMFC..

I'd bet that language is in the contract, also.. I'm not giving legal advice (as I'm not qualified), but I have leased quite a few vehicles.. The contract isn't done, until it is approved..

Which is no different than a finance contract. You can sign the deal at the dealer, take delivery of the car, and they can still come back and say they can't get you financed at that rate... even after all parties at the dealership have signed.

The thing to remember? Whatever you think is "right" won't matter... The car belongs to them, not you.

regards,

After reading these forums for the last three months, yesterday I finally bought a ltd, ult, powder white.
Except for the exterior, interior coating I fell for($599), the otd price was 30,023. which included the 7% Sarasota county FL sales tax, title and registration. The dealer was Jenkins Hyundai in Bradenton,FL
My only bargaining chip was the identical car on Ebay offered by Great Lakes Hyundai in Streetsboro,OH for27,483 plus a$275 documentation fee(plus,of course, taxes , title and shipping) Jenkins added the routine $600 charge for whatever. I drove the car home (33 miles) at 75 mph before reading the manual which suggests babying the car for the first 1200 miles.
Thanks to all the contributers to these forums for their many insights.

New 2007 Azera Ultimate by azlim

After months of thorough research, I finally bought a sage green/beige 2007 Ultimate on Friday, February 23rd in Jacksonville, Florida from Key Hyundai. I shopped online and by the time I went to the dealer, all the paperwork was ready and there were no sales pitches (I got financing though a bank and had my check in hand). It took about forty five minutes to sign the papers, go over the features, and to take a test drive. Here is a breakdown of the cost:

Sticker price: 30,520
Options included in sticker price:
Floor mats - 85
Cargo tray - 90

Discount from MSRP - 1,568
Dealer prep - 199
Sales tax - 1,829
New tag, title (good for 12 months)- 222

Out the door price - 31,204

Price comparisons (includes discount, floor and cargo mats; excludes tag, title, prep, and sales tax):

Edmond's price:30,253
Kelly price: 30,106
My comparable price: 28,777

The Azera is an excellent value and on par with cars costing 3,000 to 5,000 more. I highly recommend this car to anyone who wants comfort, features, and value.

Good luck with your new ride. It is the same color combo that I own. With great pin stripes the color pops.
If you view some of the simple changes that many forum participants have performed, you will get a lot of lot of favorable comments from your friends and neighbors.
Drive carefully!

RE. 461: Congratulation, and welcome to the "family". When you went over the "features" of your new '07, did the dealer inform you of the "dreaded clunk", noisy rear suspension, over inflated tires, delaminating steering wheel and the computer programming they can do for door lock options?

Revised Lease Contract... an Update by cambrea

The sale price is $25,720 for 07 Limited with Ultimate package. There were additional $1000 rebate applied. Its residual value after 30 months is $16,786.

My out of pocket was $2,000 at the time of delivery, and $258 plus sales tax (x29).

I'm sure that is not bad.

Therefore, I suggested three options to the dealership to sign on the revised lease contract, which 'Deposition Fee($400)' was added and excess mileage charge changed $0.02 per mile.

(Option A): Cash of $500.

(Option B): Free Oil Change AND Interior & Exterior Details at every 6 months. AND provide window tint.

(Option C): Free oil change every 6 months & install Hyundai Nuvi 360 navigation.

I'll keep you posted.

P.S. Please understand I am not disclosing dealership name until things get fully resolved.
