In reply to messages 319, 320 and 322, Cableguy06, we all know what the invoice prices are for both the '06 and '07 - the '07 being $400 more, similarly equipped. Most of the dealers I've talked to seem to be willing to settle for somewhere around invoice (the trick is to get them to go lower). If they don't want to sell me an '07 at a decent price, preferring to sell their '06s first, I walk out and buy a Maxima. I seriously doubt any dealer who wants to stay in business is going to stiff a customer on what he wants simply because he'd like to clear his inventory first. Floridabob1, I didn't look for a specific model. I mentioned only that 2 of the 5 dealers' websites in central Florida indicate that they have one or two '07s in stock, so more are doubtless on the way. Until a bigger selection arrives, I'm not bothering to talk seriously about price to dealers. Joe97, if you've been reading this string, you'd know that no Azeras have been delivered in the southeast, supposedly due to the high inventory of '06s. The first '07s began showing up in central FL only last week, and very few of them, at that. |

Replying to: luckylou (Nov 26, 2006 10:08 pm) The trickle problem is that the dealer can NOT order a particular car model with the color and features that you want. They don't know what they are getting until they receive their allocation invoice. I suggest that you contact a few dealers, tell them what you want, and have them contact you when they get notice of their allocation that contains your preferance. It took 5 weeks for one of 3 dealers to get my Sage Green/ Beige Ultimate.

The interior beige is that light color or a dark beige of your Azera. Most of my passengers are of the four legs persuasion. I am leaning toward a black interior instead. Before any decision in colors, I got to see the eggplant and the interior colors. Lou

When we use my friends car that has a black leather interior, you car see every strand of fur when my dog departs. I don't believe that the eggplant was a big seller, so it may be hard to find in the 2007's |

Just picked up mine last night during a bad snow storm. Got the 07 Limited/Ultimate package Silver Frost/Black interior. It was literally just off the truck. Doubt they will get many lookers today and only a day or two from the end of the month. Did a trade in of an 02 XG350L with 76,000 miles and $19,000 cash. Figuring my trade at $7,000 that made the actual cash price about $26,000. Pretty easy in Colorado to get a cash price of $500-$1,000 under invoice. Invoice was about $28,000 on mine. (I also had a $500 for customer loyalty, in addition). I purchased the XG350L from the same dealership in 02, and have been pleased with how I have been treated over the years (service and minor warranty stuff). BTW the XG350 NEVER had any more that the most minor issues that ever needed attention -- Great owning experience. Driving it home under VERY SLICK conditions, the car handled, stopped. and turned fantastically well given the conditions. The ESC (electronic stability control, including traction control) clearly makes a big difference. I turned if off close to home, just to check the difference. The computer drives more effectively than I do. Got it at Arapahoe Hyundai.

Replying to: jaymagic (Nov 29, 2006 8:07 am) Mine handled very well this morning, despie snowy and icy roads. My commute's 18 miles round trip, on a road that's semi-rural area and hilly. I too drove with and w/out the ESC and it makes a noticeable difference. Thank goodness for it! |
