My wife has a 98 Sidekick. The check engine light came on a bout a year ago and I got it diagged. There was an emissions valve I was able to clean out and correct the problem. No problem. Recently, it has started idling low and stalling, but no check engine light. I lost my Haynes manual for this car and we are thinking about trading it in in the next week or so, so don't want to buy another. The thing is all electronic injection and control modules, so wondering if anyone has had similiar issues. At first the problem only occured a little, now it is happening more often. I think it has to do with the engine temperature, but is getting worse. ANy recommendations would be helpful. Thanks!

| In eliminating my power steering belt and pump, from my 94 Sidekick, for better fuel efficiency, should I put heavier fluid in the PS unit? It does not steer hard in any case, it is a light vehicle........B Bruce | |
