I just purchased an '07 LT w/5 spd and the 2.2L engine for 12995. I gather from reading this thread that it was a decent price. I've had it for just a week but so far it's been great. I love the gas mileage it gets.

I'm consistently getting right at 30 mpg with my 5 speed 2.2L Ecotec 2003 Alero. The HHR probably weighs 2-300 lbs more. About 70,000 miles & never been back to the shop. 13K for for that 07 2.2 5 speed HHR...that's a great price....what was the original sticker ..about $18 K ? My wife's 2.4L HHR w/automatic aves about 25-26 mpg. I'm guessing you'll get 28-29 mpg.

I drive mostly freeway to work (30miles one way) and I average 30-32 for the most part. Sticker was about 18,600 but I got it as one of the "one at this price" sales. I'd been shopping around for an HHR for awhile and when I called the dealer they still had the "one" advertised so I went and bought it.

Hi everyone!
We are planning on purchasing a used 2006 hhr. We found a dealer with several of them, certified, for under $13,000. This seems like a 'too good to be true' kinda deal so I'm wondering if I should be cautious about this or go ahead. I've contacted the dealer and they're selling most of their vehicles way below KBB and TMV value.
Thanks!

Always pays to be a little cautious, certified vehicle or not. I would suggest getting carfax report and also service records if available just to see if there are any documented issues you may be concerned about. Good luck

Keep in mind that based upon which engine-transmission-options included...original sticker could have ranged from 15K to 25K......if that's 13K for a vehicle with say less than 20,000 miles on it & it's original sticker was over 20 grand......sounds like a good deal!

Just bought my 2007 2LT HHR - loaded.
Leather, running boards, Auto, Sunroof, good stereo, 2LT pkg.
Went through Costco. Paid $1300 below $24,400 sticker, plus I got $1500 from GM, so out the door with taxes and bs prep charges, title, tags, etc: $22709
I love it. I recommend the leather seats, too.

Just bought an LT with the chrome package, sunroof, 2.4 auto....paid 18500 out the door...one question though...does the rear spoiler option keep the dirt off the back hatch/window? We drove it about 400 miles last weekend and it was absolutely coated in dust and dirt.

Mine is the same, always collecting dirt. I believe lund has a wind deflecter that may help with the upper part (window) but most likely won't help with lower part. If there is a spray pattern on the lower sides it may help to add mud flaps on ther rear (mounted low as possible). I don't think the design of the factory spoiler will help.
