the reason you could get such a good discount on the 02-05 si is NOT i repeat IS NOT because it simply was a hatchback; any true honda enthusiast knows that the first si was a hatch. The reason for it was because as an SI this civic was severly lacking. the previous generation (before the hatch) made the same horsepower out of a smaller engine, had a more engaging chassis and a nice high redline; all the things typical of an si. The ep3 had dull power steering (nothing like the new si), 15 inc wheels stock (moved up to 16's in 04) and was sitting in a heavy body and didn't really go fast at all. |
