The Ridgeline is awesome, I love it.

Another case of personal opinions - me thinks new Civic rocks while Ridgeline looks like Honda's attempt to one up a Chevy Avalanche!

"The model could be launched in the business year starting April 2007 and would be sold globally, the paper said."
I suppose that means Honda could be introducing the 2nd generation Fit as soon as Spring of next year...

Honda says they deny it, but that doesn't really mean anything.

It could also mean March 2008.

Sorry...read that wrong.

I thought it meant they would start selling as early as April 2007, not between April 2007 - April 2008.
That makes a lot more sense though.

Well, it could be as early as April 2007, but given that Honda is in denial about even planning a hybrid Fit, I'd wager that early 2008 is more likely. Personally, I'd rather see early 2007.

WOW! You slammed me. Let me crawl back into my hole of practical Hatchbacks, wither and die.

I never wrote one word about the Fit, or the previous Si being "Sports oriented" whatever the heck that means. I said the previous Si was not received that well, that I liked mine, and that I'd like to see a Fit Si or HFP. Would 140hp make the fit an M3 beater? No, but 0-60 in 9sec as opposed to 11.3 might make the difference between me buying it and not. Also, in my opinion a little areo package and bigger rims help the looks of most cars. Just like it's your opinion that the Ridgeline is "awesome" (where did that come from btw). I'm glad you think the fit is ugly. If most people think like you then maybe I'll get 4000 off msrp like I did with my old Si.

well you are entitled to your opinion, and if the Fit needs Si model to help sell to you then I guess you're missing the point of the vehicle. But again, you're entitled to your opinion and making that car more sporty might make it sell better....but for some reason I doubt a TRD Prius woul have sold in crazy heaps. And if you're "glad" I don't like the Fit that's fine...but if MOST people thought like me (I'm not saying they do) then they probably wouldn't build it because of a bad reception. I think hatchebacks are practicle, but aside from the A3 and the GTi I don't care for any of them. We don't get as large a market for hatches as Europe does, so they don't sell as well in the US as they do in Europe, so we wind up missing out on models that may have swayed us to purchase.

lots of people got several thousand off the '02-'03 SIs as they sat on dealer lots sometimes right past their model year.

4000 off MSRP is not possible. If the dealer had an add on or market adjustment, then yes.

4000 off MSRP is a lie.
