Click on the below link and you'll see an ad in Dallas for a used Fit Sport Manual with 6000 miles for over $18K...I could probably sell my Fit Sport Auto for $20K since it only has 500 miles on it!!

Dude, that's some crazy stuff. You are probably right. At this point tho, I couldn't imagine parting with something I haven't gotten yet.

I paid a deposit for the Fit Base, Lunar Mist Metallic, automatic in July. In Dec., there's still no sign of the car. My dealer says Lunar Mist Metallic colour has not been made in the Base model. Obviously, not true. How's the car?

Some of you guys have far more patience than me with this Fit situation. With the Scion X series, the Ford Focus with ads of $6000 off list and the Civic starting to sell at or below invoice, (and all available mostly off the lot) this is a lot of aggravation to pay MSRP+ for a roller skate.

If the thing levitated, had outstanding styling, was a sports car or had the 100mpg fuel injection technology the oil companies supposedly stole to increase profits that would be a mitigating factor but otherwise....

Just Bought My FIT by doesken

Well, I just bought mine, and to tell you the truth, I couldn't be happier.

My FIT has excellent MPG, at anywhere from about 30-33 MPG in the city driving, and 35-38 HWY. The steering control is excellent, almost like a force feedback, and you can really feel the electronic steering stabilization really working. Just to test it out, I was zipping around corners listed as 45 at around 70, and this thing hugged the turns like it was stuck to them by magnets. As far as the paddle shifters on my sport version, yeah, they could have done without those, as they really aren't needed, but it's nice to have if I ever feel like driving a standard again.

The sound system is great, with the six speakers and all, but I will upgrade later I am sure. The seating is nice and roomy, and cargo space isn't an issue at all. The different modes are wonderful, as now I can pretty much choose how I want to store stuff on longer trips. You have to be sure to remember that the vehicle sits pretty low to the ground on the sport model, as I found out the hard way when I scraped the underside of the front bumper.

The alloy wheels look pretty gay, I should say though. DEFINATELY going to get those switched out. The new windshield wipers are nice, and do an excellent job. I also got the blue trim, to match my car color, and the full nose cover, and the muffler cap. Everything all together, and I paid about 1,000 less than MSRP, and am paying 345 for 60 mo. It would be lower, but I am sitting with a bankruptcy from 3 years ago, and have a few bills to pay off. So, I got mine for about 16,200 before interest, and am sitting at a 10% APR. I will refinance after June 07, when my bills are all paid off, and try to get the price down to 300 or less.

All in all, the vehicle is gret, handles like a dream, and the MPG is unbelieveable. I have never been happier with a new car, it's everything I ever wanted. It's worth a hassle if you need to wait, in my opinion. I just wish it had accessories like seat covers made for it, and floor mats should never be an "option" on any vehicle, they should be standard.

OUCH!! Well, at least its nice to know the front of the car will crunch up, as opposed to the engine smashing back into the driver and breaking their legs (oh, I love new safety features!).

Waiting... by luthien1410

Being patient is tough!

I ordered my Storm Silver Metallic Fit Sport on 9-2-06 at a dealership outside of Pittsburgh. The saleswoman said it would be here sometime in the first two or thee weeks in December. Not hearing from her, I called her two weeks ago to check in on things. "The car is on a boat in the middle of the Pacific Ocean...will be here by Christmas." The conversation finished with her telling me to look for a call from her the following week. Not hearing from her again, I called last Thursday. Turns out the car was built on 11-25, but is still NOT on the boat. Forget delivery before Christmas. Maybe before the new year if I'm lucky. But until that time, I'm attempting to wait patiently. That whole "patiently" thing has a lot to be desired, though. It's nice to know I'm not the only one in this boat. I wonder how long I have to wait... and I wonder how long I can hold out. It's worth it...right?

It's price posting like this that gives the unknowing unrealalistic expectations. Everyone else id a M.S.R.P. or above and this price paid is $1,000.00 under M.S.R.P.
NO WAY - NO HOW

So you are saying that there is no way I only paid the 16,000 +/- on my new FIT? Is there some substantiating evidence to this boastful claim? It's ok, I am paying for it now for backing into a tree at 2 mph, and puncturing the back fender cover. 367 bucks. Anyways, my inside trim and new exaust tip should be in this week. If you want, I can send you a copy of the sales receipt. Just notice the price prior to the finance charges.

When did you buy your Fit and how many miles so far. Is it manual or auto? And did you trade in any car when you bought?

This is not a boastful claim, there is not $1,000.00 between M.S.R.P. and dealer Net-Net-Net. The dealer would paying you $100.00+- to take it off his lot?? Be that as it may, enjoy your FIT
