#2506 of 2642 Did I Get Good Price
Jul 07, 2010 (2:16 pm)
Hi. I live in central NJ. I just purchased a new 2010 Honda Fit Sport. My total out the door price including tax, dealer prep etc is $18,000. I am getting $800 on my old car and transferring my old plates. My car is 13yrs old w/bad engine about to blow. Dealer is throwing in wheel locks. There were only three of this car on the lot. I haven't purchased a new car in years and being a woman I hope I got a new deal. It took time to get them down to this price. I got internet quotes from other dealers and they were all higher. I hope I got a good deal. Can anyone advise ASAP.

I want to buy a 2010 Honda fit sport in Tallahassee, FL with Automatic transmission and navigation system. What would be the reasonable price for this car before taxes and other standard expenses? Can somebody help me with this please?
Thanks in advance
#2508 of 2642 TrueCar works?
Jul 20, 2010 (1:01 pm)
I got a quote using TrueCar.com
2010 fit base with auto:
$15435 + TTT = $16476.05 OTD. This is eastern NC - I think this is not too bad?
NC sales tax for vehicles = 3%
Anyone getting anything similar or lower than this?

Got an i'net quote for 18171 ($40 over invoice) incl dest and before "accessories and fees". Is that a good price in Virginia (West Broad Honda)? Should I pull trigger? Thanks, Ted. PS -- not yet sure if I can also get 0.9% 60 mo financing.

I went into a dealership today and was quoted 16,890 + taxes and other fees for a total of 17,560 on a FIT Sport w/ manual transmission and the standard equipment for the model. Taking in consideration that they offered 10,500 for my trade in I think this sounds like a good deal but I have seen lower prices from some others on this site. Any info on other dealerships in Texas that are going to be competitive? I'm looking to buy within a week or so as this particular dealership is waiting for the exact model/color/etc that I'm interested to arrive so I have some time to do some comparisons. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
#2513 of 2642 FIT base automatic - Sport Honda, Silver Spring, Md
Jul 29, 2010 (4:14 pm)
Just bought a Honda FIT base automatic (no additional options) from Sport Honda in Silver Spring, Md. Out-the-door price was $16,853.83 - $200 for my trade in (a '98 Saturn SL1 w/ 152,000 miles on it). The breakdown was:
14,997.63 base price
750.00 destination charge
89.00 processing fee
938.20 sales tax
79.00 tags, registration, etc. (we transferred the tags from my trade in)
The internet sales specialist's price beat the other quotes I received and I appreciated the fact that there weren't any surprises (dealer installed options or miscellaneous fees) when I got to the dealership. He helped me switch my insurance over to the new car and personally transferred the tags from my old vehicle. All in all a pleasant buying experience and I'm happy with my new car and the price I paid. So I would definitely recommend Sport Honda in Silver Spring to anyone in the MD/DC area interested in a Honda FIT.

Last month purchased Honda Fit Base (automatic). OTD was 16,200. This is in Florida where taxes are double compared to NC. My experience was overall really good
