Buying a sport with all the extras is definitely worth the money. However, if you want a base fit with a few extras you almost wind up paying more that a sport but get it the Fit the way you want it. I just completed installing extras in my wife’s fit getting it exactly the way we wanted it. We picked it up March 12, 2007 after a long struggle getting this base Lunar Mist MT. Read my earlier posts you will get the full story (search racerski). This is our second car with a price that is perfect at $14,445 in today’s car prices a bargain with Honda quality. A couple things I did want like having the remote entry. After my installed extras this makes for the perfect vehicle that you never seem to want to stop driving. I have pictures of this fit under Racerski’s fit on carspace photos. Check it out 14,445.00 MSRP 1,245.88 Sales Tax New York City 12.50 Waste Tire Fee 10.00 State Inspection Fee 70.00 License Fee 45.00 Dealers Processing Fee Total Out The Door $15,828.35 My add-ons I installed all these: Mud Guards $40.00 New Wheels $380.00 with installation Fit mats $53.00 Remote entry kit $105.00 Honda Locking Gas cap $36.00 Chrome License Plate Frames $30.00 Chrome exhaust extension $25.00 I don’t remember but I think about another $20.00 in shipping fees. The remote entry kit came with a warning that a Honda Trained Technician should install this harness. I will say it wasn’t a “walk in the park” but I felt great when it all worked after about three hours of intense electrical work. It reminded me once again “don’t give up your day job”. I want to tell you when I pushed the buttons on the remote and everything worked; now that is, “priceless”. |

Picked up my Blaze Orange Fit Sport AT yesterday at Fisher Honda in Boulder, CO. Paid MSRP ($16565), dealer fees of 399.50, plus local taxes. Had to sit through the businesss manager's spiel about extended warranty, etc, and hear the horror stories about what "could" happen if I didn't opt for the "extras." I politeley declined. I did notice two add-ons to the price that I did NOT request: a "security etching" on the windows ($199) and an additional charge for four discounted service visits down the road. I asked that both be removed, and that happened with no problem. All in all, the experience at Fisher was great. I loved my saleman, who shall remain nameless. Only thing I will have to get used to: NOT being able to see the hood AT ALL from the driver's seat. I know it's there, and I guess I'll get used to that! Now to figure out mats, seat covering or cushions, and other accessories.... |

PS Just FYI, Fisher has TWO black Fit Sport AT's on their lot available for purchase, in case anybody is still looking...One is slightly reduced in price due to some minor repair to the roof... |

I got my dealer to throw in some floor mats, the kind that hook to clips installed in the floorboard, but I skipped the clips after two visits to get them installed and no one acknowledging my appointment. They sit on the floor just fine without them. Enjoy your Fit! |

I had to sit through the whole spiel about what could happen if I didn't buy the extra warranties as well. Not a good time (mainly because he almost had me convinced!). In AZ there are so many 4 door trucks and such that parking between them makes my car really hard to see. |

Another thing I've noticed already to watch out for...The pillars on either side of the windshield cause blind spots when looking to the front sides. They are fairly wide, and it is important to look around them before turning... I've ordered some all-weather mats online from Bernardi Parts and have no intention of installing the hooks, so thatnks for that info. Now I'm looking for decent seat cushions or covers to keep the front seat relatively clean and lint-free (have the black upholstery)/ As we speak, my boyfriend has taken off with the car. he LOVES it, and I think his Outback will remain idle much of the time now that we have the FIT!

I might consider covers for the seats as well, but they have to look really good to cover up that upholstery. |

We just bought a Honda Fit Sport AT Black today. Thanks to this forum, we already had leads on where to go to get MSRP pricing. We bought ours from Hopkins Honda in Fairfield, CA. Got the last one for now. They were just great. We dealt with Mitch from internet sales who is very thorough, straightforward, easy going. No hard sell. Got MSRP, no package add-ons, no pressure from finance to get extended warranty, clear coat or anything else. We were REALLY pleased with Mitch and Hopkins. Car: $16,565 Doc fee: $55 Tax $1288.05 DMV Elec filing fee: $28 Lic fees: $179.75 Total: $18,115.80 We also spoke to Dave Gibbons at University Honda (Davis, CA) who would have given us $100 off MSRP, he just didn't have the car we wanted on the lot. He is also very easy going, straightforward, and no hard sell and he calls back when he says he will. This is unlike San Leandro Honda that will do MSRP and no package add-ons, but I could not get Griselda to call me back even though I said I had a check ready etc. Vacaville will do $200 under MSRP for Costco members but they do non-negotiable add-ons so the price ends up being about $130 over MSRP. Marin Honda would not budge on $1000 over MSRP with about $300 worth of add-ons. |

I live in Vancouver and generally our prices are higher than the states. I purchased my Fit for: MSRP ($22,155 Canadian) - $300 Discount + (plus add-ons) with 2.9% financing for 36 months. |
