Replying to: dudleyr (Apr 06, 2007 11:02 am) but seriously, i can't imagine a scenario where a sunroof would help with roof integrity. if anything, i would imagine it would decrease the overall safety of the vehicle. unless perhaps you had to exit a vehicle which was flooded... but then maybe only if the retraction mechanism was manual, not electric. |

| Of course, the sunroof in almost every car these days is so far back because of the ceiling "wart" with the lights/garage remote and such in it that you can't SEE out of the sunroof while driving. Not unless you turn you head sideways. | |

Purchased 2007 Honda FIT Sport Auto Storm Silver the evening of April 19, 2006 from Sterling McCall Honda in Kingwood (Houston) Texas. Paid MSRP. Traded a 2005 Honda Ody EX which was too big for our needs yet it was a good car with minor problems. The FIT has been PERFECT, racking up nearly 9800 miles over the year. Not much, it's my wives and used mainly for commuting in the local area. Best mpg: 41.75 Worst: 27.6 Last tank: 33.15 mpg Even though it's used mainly for local driving we did take it to Atlanta and St. Petersburg. We've also taken it to San Antonio, Austin and Laredo. Not a bad road car, however slightly too small. Added equipment: Arm rest (a must), tint, bra, cargo net and cover plus rear bumper applique. All purchased from College Hills Honda. My wife and I both love it. Empty nesters. Only been back to the dealer once for it's oil change which the first one was free. I've had quite a few cars over my 60+ years and I have to say the FIT has been one of our best.. and a blast to drive!

I have a 2006 Honda pilot EXL and purchased a base MT Fit on March 12, 2007 for my wife. Although its my wives car we seem to always use it on trips. It really feels good to get the gas mileage, not only for the money but environmental side of owning an economical vehicle such as the fit. We are having a great time driving it with around 34 MPG 70% hi-way and the rest NYC driving. My wife was set on getting the base model MT. You definitely get your monies wort in the sport. I installed the keyless entry and mud guards as well as new wheels that the sport come with. The sport doesn’t come in Lunar Mist the color we both liked and now that we own it we like it even better. I sure which I had the cruse control. The after market cruse controls never work right. My advise to new buyers, buy the sport. It’s $1,320.00 more. |

When in intermittent mode, the wipers make a click noise (timer/switch). Apparently it is normal. Do you find the same? Any corrective actions?

I own a Fit Sport and love it. One this is driving me crazy and that's the carpet. I know it's cheap - that doesn't bother me so much as the fact that it just doesn't seem to fit. Can anyone tell me if they, too, have poorly fitting carpet on the passenger side? The carpet in front of the wheel well isn't attached to anything, and there is a piece of foam on the passenger door trim that keeps the carpet from sitting flush to the well... Do others have this piece of foam? It feels like it should not be there, and there is nothing like it on the drivers side (where the carpet fits much better). Thanks.
