Did Honda limit the number of them or are they just not selling well?

Limited numbers, absolutely. With a waiting time for one averaging a couple months or more, I'd say they're definitely selling well

I ordered a Black Sport AT Feb 20. It was due in Mar 20 and Im still waiting but new estimated date is no later than April 2. Lets hope it comes in... only 1 Fit located on the lots in RI and it is super suped up and pricey which is why it is still there... Same for 100 miles (I called every dealership that advertised them). Yeesh!!

According to the NY Times a week or two ago, Honda only sold 26,000 in the US in 2006. So maybe there are 32,000 here now. That's very few Fits across a very large country.
I am guessing that Honda is still producing a handful of fits for the 07 model year.
I wonder, of those 32000, how many are manual transmission?

One more thing, replying again to same post:
I would think just about every one of these cars in the country is sold. I cannot imagine there being 6K sitting on lots throughout the US. Did they say that was the case or the 6K was "more on the way"?
Thanks!

I decided against buying what is an otherwise sound little car. Years ago I made a decision that I would never again buy a car without a factory installed sunroof option, nor would I buy one that did not have disk brakes BOTH front and rear. These decisions were made based on experiences with safety, driveability, and maintenance.

Just curious how the sunroof helps safety, driveability or maintenance.

a sunroof provides for "heads up driving"... you know, looking at the stars on a clear night for "dead" reconing one's position.
but seriously, i can't imagine a scenario where a sunroof would help with roof integrity. if anything, i would imagine it would decrease the overall safety of the vehicle. unless perhaps you had to exit a vehicle which was flooded... but then maybe only if the retraction mechanism was manual, not electric.

Of course, the sunroof in almost every car these days is so far back because of the ceiling "wart" with the lights/garage remote and such in it that you can't SEE out of the sunroof while driving. Not unless you turn you head sideways.

Mainewoods, it's hard to get everything you want. I really wanted a car with stablity and traction control, and yet I ended up buying the Fit over the Scion xB because it was just more fun to drive, and the cargo area was more useful (I carry around a lot of stuff sometimes). I was just reading about the next xB which seems to address those differences... but no mention yet of price or fuel economy, which will probably be moving the wrong direction since they made the car bigger and more powerful.
