You mean what MPG I'm getting! (MPH is quite high, I must admit.....the turbo asks to be driven fast!!!) I basically do a lot of city driving with a bit of highway mixed in.... so far, after abouy 1500 miles, it's about 23 miles per gallon, on regular (YAY!!). Am taking a good road trip next month and I'm waiting to see how much better it will do on pure highways. THere is an 'information' thing that you can scroll through on the steering wheel, which posts various pieces of info on the dash....one of the items is "how many miles to empty". every time I fill up, it says 500. but that never happens, and this gauge is annoyingly inaccurate enough that I've turned it off.

I was a Lexus devotee for 12 years, and really wanted to buy another one, but found that the w ES was going to be an even more expensive "camry".... and to load it up with all the bells and whistles puts it almost at 50k, which is crazy. The new ES comes out in the fall and I'm sure it will be even more expensive.

The new 3 series is very nice, I drove it a few times, but I live in an area where FWD is good to have, and did not want to pay the premium for AWD and the associated drop in MPG.

The other car that seemed to be a really good value was the Nissan Maxima. but that car is in a funny middle ground, as a premium-ish car, in a non premium brand. I always preferred it's styling to that of the infiniti, which seems very dated at this point.

I'm hoping that the Volvo will prove to be a great value for a sporty, fast, safe and fun car. Hope you enjoy your new S60 too!

MPG for me on 3500 miles of mostly highway is 29. In the city it's looking like 23. The miles to empty gauge changed much more wildly than my merc's. It's hard to know when to fill up since it's accurate to the hill and curve. Maybe I'm nuts, but I've been putting in premium--it's only a few bucks more per tank.

Hello everyone, I'm in the DC area and started getting prices on an S60 T5 with the following options:

Climate package
Premium package (with off black leather)
Saville Grey Metallic Paint
Sport Sill Moldings
Trunk Spoiler
Wheels (17x8.0 Njord Alloy Wheels)

The best price I have received so far is $32, 689 (incl $1000 loyalty and destination) for a 2012. Any thoughts or referrals for the Baltimore/DC area?

thanks,
JA

Does this price of 32689 include tax? I have been quoted the price of 30600 for 2012 S60 T5 with climate+premium+Metallic paint (no loyalty discount). When including tax etc (6.5% tax), out of door is around 33400. Is this reasonable? I did not ask about 2013 model, any one knows whether 2012 has more discount than 2013?

I bought a 2013 S60 from Don Beyer (Dulles, VA location) at the end of October. They offered me a very good price over the phone without a hassle, and it was ~$1500 less than the Edmund's TMV. I bought the T5 Premier, with metallic paint and climate pkg.

I think the end of the month is a great time to buy, especially if the dealer might be a bit short of their quota...

Has anyone bought thru the Costco program that is offering employee pricing? I'm trying to find how far below invoice the employee pricing is? Thanks.
