Most of the pricing guides value the car at close to $23k, but I'd start at $21,500 and wouldn't pay more than $22k for it!   Usually, I'm not a big fan of former fleet cars (especially rentals), but this might be an exception to the rule. I know that Hertz used to offer products from Ford's luxury brands (Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo, Lincoln) as their "Prestige Collection". Typically, they were rented by more upscale customers than typical rentals. So the cars should be in very good condition, especially with such low mileage!   The original 4-year/50,000-mile warranty is still in effect, correct?

If it is indeed a good buy, should I purchase an extended warranty? My initial reasearch suggests that I can get an extended warranty (4 yr, 50,000 miles) for about $3,300.   Any thoughts or suggestions?   A Replies to this message: volvomax (Aug 25, 2009 4:04 pm)
