I began all contacts with the internet staff not the regular salesmen. I told them that I did not really care about price or features other than power doors and cruise and that was not a deal breaker as cost was the real factor and that was the price I was offered. I did buy on the last day of the month as I had been told you often get the best price then (bought the day I began making contact told everyone I was buying that day if possible). Toyota of Dallas internet sales dept Derrick (I think) agreed to match but I went with TOR as they came in with the price first and were a little less pushy.

My price was $16700 OTD plus I got the $1000 college graduate rebate. Which made my OTD $15700. I also noticed that the prices are up since end of November. Perhaps you should wait until after Christmas and buy the car between Christmas and New Year. I noticed that prices always get better towards the end of the month.

I started my negotiation by going to Overstock.com and getting a price from there. The dealers called me and I negotiated for the lowest price from there.

Hope that helps

Thought I'd update with what I actually paid. Bought Nov 2 (so end of the month october) & the dealer needed to sell two more cars by the day's end. Bought the '10 LE with power package (keyless, cruise, power windows/locks), floor mats. No trade no financing. OTD for 16000 (everything included). The car was right off the truck... they were still taking the tape off, so no mileage. The previous price I had posted did not include TTT (as I thought... I looked it up again).

I've been reading this thread and many others and am still having a hard time figuring out what price I should shoot for. I want a 2010 Corolla LE with keyless entry and cruise control. I'm not concerned with any other add-ons. I'm in Southern California and will be taking the 0% financing (so no 750$ rebate).Any help?
