50% off MSRP by sailakfan

Hello everybody,

Never leased before. Was in a dealership to purchase a Camry and the salesperson mentioned they have a special going on, 50% off MSRP for Camrys in leasing.

The 50% off is for the lease and the residual value will be based on the MSRP.

Can somebody explain if this is a good option since the 50% off is too good to be true.

Thank you

Good question, smarty666. As annoying as disposition fees are, more often then not banks charge them. To the best of my knowledge, Toyota Financial Services does not charge a disposition fee, but you may want to check with them directly or with a dealer to find out for certain.

Hi tarzan12. Here's the information that you're looking for. Toyota Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2010 Camry LE or SE with 12,000 miles per year in your area are .00050 and 62%, respectively.

Keep in mind though that TFS' residual values are based upon vehicle's base MSRPs. It places restrictions upon what options can be residualized, making its effective resid lower than the above percentage and making it difficult for anyone outside of dealers who are given a list of the dollar residual values for the units that they have in inventory to figure out what vehicles' residual values should be.

I've been given New Hampshire MF / RV #s of .00050 and 63% on a 2010 Camry LE for 36 mos. 12,000 miles per year. When I add up the down payment $1000, RV, and monthly payments, I get $24,199. This seems too high--higher than MSRP. Right? When I suggested a down payment of $4000 I was told this wouldn't affect the RV, so why deplete my savings? I feel something doesn't add up, but I've never leased before. Can you offer an opinion?

I seem to have left something out: the RV given me is $14,235.

I got it at Frontier Toyota from the internet sales department. Simi Valley Toyota was also very close and seemed like good people (again, internet sales). Good luck!
