Toyota Prius, Hybrid Cars, Sedan

Car_Guy & Kyfdx - please do your magic. You did me well on the last lease:
2008 Prius with Package #6 & Car Mats
$27,884 sticker (after $2k pkg 6 credit from Toyota)
No tax in CT on Prius's
$1k down, 24 month lease, $16,458 residual, 12k year
It seemed high to me - I asked finance mgr. for money factor and he came up with some story about not using them anymore. I told the salesman that it is costing me $15k in payments he turned white but didn't say a word.
Thanks for the help.

Even at full MSRP the monthly payments only come to $540 on a 24 mo lease with 1K down. The base money factor, I believe, is .00245. $625 seems really high!
#2074 of 2152 Prius Lease in NorCal
Apr 04, 2008 (3:06 pm)
Hi Car_Man or anyone who could help, I'm looking for some Prius lease info for Northern California. Specifically on Package 4. What is the MF for top tier credit? The MSRP is $25,914, and I've been offered invoice of $24,213.
Toyota's website says there's a special offer (zip code 95125), but provides no further information. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the advice - once again you saved me a bunch of $$$. Finally settled on Middletown Toyota in Middletown, CT. Went in 3 days before the end of the month, took delivery on last day of month - final deal:
Prius (Seaside Pearl Blue) with Package #6 (leather) & floor mat package
$26600 negotiated price ($1280 under sticker)
$1558 down, registration, doc fee & tax
$507 / month for 24 months, .00265 money factor
$16458 residual (I was amazed that the two and three year residual were only about $1000 difference)
No sales tax on Prius's in CT.
#2076 of 2152 End of Lease Options, Prius
Apr 08, 2008 (5:04 pm)
I am coming up on the end of my lease on my 2005 Prius in January '09, starting to think now about my options, because I am starting to run up against my mileage. I have a lease for 60K miles, and am at 52,000 now. The residual at the end of my lease is $9,750. I'm leaning towards purchasing at the end of my lease, because I would like to hold out purchasing a new vehicle until a plug-in option becomes available, hopefully in the next several years. As an alternative, I was thinking about turning it in, and getting a new one with a shorter lease term/loan term. How likely is it that 1) the dealer lets me turn in early as long as I am getting my new car from them, or 2) they give me a grace on the mileage, again as long as I am getting a new vehicle from them.
#2077 of 2152 Lease a used Prius?
Apr 09, 2008 (6:16 am)
Can you comment on advisability of leasing a used Prius, eg, a 2007 with 30k miles for 3 years? Asking price $23K, prob nego price 22K? Estimate payment with $2000 down?
Should I look into an old prius and putting new batteries in it, as a purchase?
#2078 of 2152 Just leased an '08 Prius...Good deal?
Apr 14, 2008 (7:36 pm)
I am in SoCal and just leased a '08 Prius with package two. I had a trade-in worth $1,000 and put $650 down. My price is $355/mo for 36 months with 12,000 miles. I feel like that's a pretty good deal. I leased it at Toyota of Hollywood from a great guy named ROY.
#2079 of 2152 Current Lease terms in SOCAL
Apr 17, 2008 (5:25 pm)
Seems these change so fast. And with gas over $4 feels like there's no wiggle room.
Any thoughts on this from recent SOCAL Lease takers:
12K miles p.a.
MSRP( really?) $27,884 (inc mats)
Residual: 15,110 (that sounds more like 15K miles to me)
zero down, $768 drive off total
$487 per month
The fleet manager did offer $400 p.m . with 3500 down so I know theres some room. I'm not looking to break balls, just get the fairest deal poss that I feel top tier credit deserves.
And remain slightly indignant / entitled...

That means you're paying approx $27,000 for the car. I've seen it go for a lot less on the forum - more like $26,400 which would make the payments around $465. I'm assuming the payment included tax? I worked out a deal in So Cal for $464 a month including tax for a 15K, 36 month lease with 0 down on a pkg 6.

Interesting. the best I have gotten so far is 478 pm with nothing down and 12K miles.
A friend on mine scored the same lease for 420 a month and 1500 down - lucky boy
tphssenior - how long ago did you get that lease? I know they are getting tight
