Thanks for the pics. We differ greatly on the looks of that Bentley. All Bentleys except the Arnage are hideous to me...lol!!

That Chevy truck concept was at the GM show in Carlisle back in 2005. Here's a shot I got of it. If nothing else, I guess it sort of predicted the front-end styling of the new Tahoe/Suburban, and upcoming pickups.

Mazda, and Mercedes were getting the most attention I think. Mitsubishi and Nissan not so much attention. The only Mitsu car that was getting attention was the Eclipse and one guy was intersted in the new Outlander. Kia and Suzuki were pretty dead. Hyundai, Acura, Ford, and VW were getting some attention. The Pontiac Solstice was getting some attention too.

I actually(shockingly!!!)really liked the new Camry. The interior plastics and interior them look alot better than the last generation interior plastics and interior theme did. The interior room was generous too. I even took a Toyota brochure home with me. The only thing that bothers me about the Camry is the pig snout in the middle of the front grille area. The new Elantra was impressive too except for the exterior which I think is pretty bland. The Santa Fe looked impressive too in all areas except for the back end styling which while not ugly is awkard looking maybe.

Chrysler dissapointed me. The new Sebring and Calibers interiors I just didn't take a liking to them. The Caliber had the color blue down the middle where the radio is and the Sebring there was hard plastic all over the place I felt. Chrysler used to have good interiors in their cars a decade ago. What happened? The new Acura MDX was a dissapointment because the front end exterior design looks out of whack.

Chrysler used to have good interiors in their cars a decade ago. What happened?

IMO, Daimler-Benz happened! It seems like just about everything that Chrysler has put out since the takeover, especially products that Mercedes really had a hand in (the first were the Pacifica and Crossfire, just about everything else before that was well into the development stages by the time Benz took over) have overdosed on plastics.

I even noticed that the Intrepid went through some cost cutting measures in 2002. A buddy of mine had an '02 or '03 Intrepid rental while his Passat was in the shop, and one day we compared it to my 2000.

And since then, they've only gotten more plasticky. I think one thing that might have led to this though is that they started using a nicer grain texture to their plastics, which actually looks high-quality as long as you don't see an exposed seam. And when it's still new, before it's faded or scratched.

Did they have the Dodge Avenger (Stratus replacement) at the show? I don't like the new Sebring at all, because it looks like they just took a bunch of styling themes from a bunch of different cars, and threw it all together and went with whatever stuck together. From what I've seen of pics though, the Avenger looked better.

Sorry but I can't remember any modern day Chrysler that really had a good interior. Everything Chrysler had a cheap interior from the 80s' onwards. They've never had any outstanding or superior interiors compared to foreign makes.

Yeah I sat in the Pacifica in a Feburary auto show and there was too much hard plastic in my opinion. It was an 05 leftover as a matter of fact I think. The orginal MSRP was in the 34K range and it was mark down to somewhere in the 27K range on the window.

No, no Avenger was at the show(not that I observed anyway.)

Yeah the new Sebring does look like they put the Crossfire styling theme on the Sebring which doesn;t work in my opinion. In addition, the back end of the Sebring and Crossfire mimmicks AMC to an extent. I mean mimicking the AMC back end works for the Crossfire but doesn't work for the Sebring in my opinion. I don;t know the front end of the 07 Sebring looks dis-proportionate to the back-end.

Yeah I agree from the pics that I myself saw the Avenger did look better than the Sebring.

In my opinion Chrysler needs better interiors in the cars to compete.

What about the interior in the Concorde? Thats was pretty nice. I never sat in a Concorde but the interior did look sort of upscale. The interior in the mid late 90's Sebring wasn;t that bad. The last 2 generations(01-06 and 07)of Sebrings have had cheap interiors.

No, maybe Chrysler never had the quality interiors foreign makes had 10 years ago but they were alot better(chrysler interiors)than now.
